2 PID 260 Non Credit Online Student Center In Progress The goal of this project would be for non credit (Job Training) students Access access to the online center. Students can see their enrollment, view/print their schedule, enrollment verification, accept/decline their financial aid, view any issues they may have with their aid (communication), view account summary, view grades, update personal information, and request transcript. This would free up staff to work on other projects and a better use of college resources. PID 026_3 Bb Analytics Learn Suspended Data warehouse for Blackboard LMS... PID 291 Enrollment 150 Sub Loan Reporting Hold There are significant NSLDS reporting changes taking effect, with new layouts being accepted in April and becoming mandatory as of July 1. We will likely see PeopleSoft redeliver the Consolidated Statistics process in FA Regs 3 (Bundle #33, April) which will require significant reengineering if not an entire rewrite of our custom Clearinghouse extract SQR, SRNSLCGR. PID 233 3Cs for Student Records Hold We will regularly be using the 3Cs system to broadcast a variety of communications to students and faculty. The overall intent is to remove manual collection of mailing lists and data during regular periods of the year. Also, we'd like to target students and staff with specific data (within FERPA boundaries) that clarifies the reason for communication and the action required. PID 293 SARS TRAK Hold SARS TRAK will replace our institutional use of TutorTrac, which is used to track student use of academic tutorial labs. 3 PID 268 TAACCCT MCAM Grant Data Hold To either develop OR purchase AND eventually implement a system Tracking Info that accruately tracks and reports the Manufacturing Coalition Grant GRCC recently received to construct an advanced manufacturing lab at the Tassell MTEC. The resulting system must ensure that the tracking information is set up correctly and allows for accurate federal grant reporting to occur. PID 266 ImageNow Transcript Routing Improvement Hold This project will improve the transcript intake and evaluation process by streamlining the routing in Image Now. PID 267 M TEC TAA MCAM Grant Advanced Manuf Lab Hold This project involves making an advanced manufacturing lab (including CAD) in room 124 at the Tassell M TEC to provide advanced manufacturing simulation for Welding, CNC, and manufacturing offerings at GRCC. PID 285 Mandatory Placement Self Enrollment Hold Updating PeopleSoft to allow AFP students to self enroll in approved classes, thus eliminating the requirement to see a counselor at the start of the term. PID 288 Class Waiting List Hold A class wait list would provide the opportunity for students to indicate their preference for a particular section; therefore allowing enrollment ease for students and the section management ability to open new sections if warranted as well as maximize the fullness rate on the wait listed sections. PID 287 Module Course Withdrawal ROF Calc Hold To reduce the monetary impact of this regulation on students and the institution. PID 277 Readmit Process Hold This project will support a pilot approved by ProDeans to discontinue students who have not attended in two or more years. This will force them to go through a readmit process to update their information including major and catalog year, and ensure that our active student list is accurate in PeopleSoft. We would replace paper notification being sent to students with an that informs the student to view their Online Student Center (OSC) when their aid has been awarded. 3Cs setup PID 228 Transfer Evaluation System Import Hold 63 We aim to secure funding for a the Transfer Evaluation System (TES) created by CollegeSource. If approved, we will subscribe this year and begin using it to maintain and update equivalencies and articulation agreements. CollegeSource takes a flat file and imports all of our courses as part of the implementation. Going in reverse, we will then need to import equivalencies built there, in a daily process. Again, a flat file containing new equivalencies will be the transport method. This project will also enable more efficient interfacing between the Upward Bound office and the Student Records office for document sharing. PID 297 Blackboard Non credit Course Setup Hold 57.5 Currently job training and training solutions classes in blackboard appear as duplicate classes when an second or third section of the class begins. We are requesting that some kind of date solution (class end date) is able to be put into PS or Blackboard so when one section finishes only the next sessions blackboard shows. This will eliminate instructor confusion and allow for more blackboard use for non credit students. I believe this is currently done manually each month. Automation would assist our faculty and staff (JT and IT) from having to do this manually each month when students begin. Job Training would like to increase its usage of BlackBoard and success within its courses in compliance with the minimum standards set by AGC. PID 236 FA to Raider Card Transfers Hold 49.5 Migrate the current manual RaiderCard transfers from Financial Aid money to an electronic process. This collaborative effort between the bookstore, Financial Aid and Student Life, will improve and simplify this process and will help us address the critical issue around our ability to serve students in multiple locations as ideally they will not have to physically come to campus in order to utilize this service as they do now.
