2 The Academic Development & Quality Assurance Center The Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center was established in 2001 under the name of Performance Development Centre for Academic Staff. In 2012 The Academic Development Centre and Quality Office were integrated under the name of The Academic Development and Quality Assurance Centre. Instructions specific to the centre were issued as well as the endorsement of the organizational structure.

4 Responsibilities of Academic Development and Quality Assurance Centre Corroborating that the university is committed to the standards of quality Assurance. Holding training workshops for faculty members. Providing Quality Committees in university with quality Assurance standards. Preparing university reports of SelfEvaluation. Researching SelfEvaluation Study reports provided by the departments. Preparing and developing educational schemes and materials. Developing faculty members research skills and teaching Assessing the performance of academic staff.. Communicating with external agencies related to quality affairs. Collaborating with local / regional agencies and institutions related to quality affairs.

Planning budget for the execution of centre work plan. Reviewing and discussing recommendations offered to the centre. Reviewing centre recruitment and commissioning needs of academic staff, researchers and technicians. Proving research programmes, studies, workshops, seminars, conferences, courses and activities related to pursuing the goals of the centre. Reviewing issues provided by the director of the centre.
6 University Quality Assurance Committee Vice President for Quality Assurance and International Affairs Head One or two academic staff members of the centre / Member Director of Development and Quality Assurance / Member Colleges Quality Assurance Committees / Members Committee Responsibilities Reviewing recommendations provided by Quality Assurance Division and corresponding them to the director. Pursuiting that colleges and administrative units are committed to the implementation of quality Assurance standards. Preparing assessment and quality Assurance reports for colleges and administrative units in the university.

Evaluating the performance of the academmic staff Evaluating the performance of academic staff by students via online questionnaire to enable students to express their impressions about their lecturers. The results are statistically analyzed and observed for each academic staff member and a copy of the results is submitted to the dean and the member, the college, and the university president.
