1 CURRICULUM VITAE FOR ANNET NSIIMIRE CONTACT INFORMATION TELEPHONE: CELL PHONE: / / ansiimire@utamu.ac.ug BRIEF DESCRIPTION I am Annet Nsiimire an engineer with a strong back ground in the energy sector having worked in the electricity distribution sector for the last sixteen years. Professionally, I am an engineer and a member of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers and have specialty in project planning and management. I am dependable and have strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and build team work to meet organizational targets and objectives. I have a multidisciplinary academic background with Masters in Management Studies specializing in Project Planning and Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute. I had my undergraduate training in Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications Engineering from Kyambogo University which I successfully completed with Second Class Honors - Upper Division. In addition to the above academic awards I have two diplomas in Electrical Engineering; Higher Diploma from Kyambogo Polytechnic and Ordinary Diploma from Uganda Technical College Bushenyi. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE December to date: Part-time Lecturer Uganda Technology and Management University; Courses taught Infrastructure planning and Management and Project Procurement Management.

2 March to date: Telecommunications Engineer Umeme Limited. Design for new and existing communication systems across the entire electricity distribution network to match the changing technology. Installation, configuration and commissioning of communication systems and equipment like PBXs, Switches/ Routers and VOIP phones. Programming the call manager to perform the following functions; setting up user profiles, adding phones, extracting user data and billing, setting up authorization/dialing codes and troubleshooting of phones and routers/switches. Testing and technical evaluation of new telecommunication equipment before it is installed on the network. Preparation of specifications for materials, equipment and tools to be purchased for the section. Report writing and documentation of all jobs done and commissioning records. Ensuring personal safety and safety for other people and company assets. Participating in general administration of section duties including meetings, proper use of assets, team building, mentoring and coaching staff. Plan and Implement maintenance work (routine and corrective) of all communication equipment. APR 2005 Feb 2010: Protection Technician Umeme Limited. Testing and technical evaluation of new equipment (including but not limited to Transformers, Circuit breakers, D.C supply equipment, Ring Main Unit, Control panels, Cables, metering units) before it is installed on the network. Carrying out commissioning tests which include checking all the Electrical wiring, Insulation resistance test and Earth resistance for all the station equipment.

3 Periodic review of the protection system grading to cater for any new developments on the network. Attending to faults and analyzing faults as they occur in the protection system. Designing and installation of protection schemes for different systems. Installation of low voltage A.C and D.C supply systems for the protection systems. Periodic testing (routine maintenance) of the protection equipment for the entire network. Plan and implement maintenance and repair work of electrical installation for all Umeme Ltd offices and substations country wide. Report writing and documentation of all jobs done and commissioning records. Apr Feb 2005: Installation Inspector U.E.D.C.L. Inspection (both visual and use of testing equipments) of customer premises new/old installations before power supply is connected. Commercial survey and costing of new customers. Installation of meters both three and single phase. Checking faulty meters and making necessary replacements by raising works order. Reading KVA power meters on every first day of the month. Setting up new customers on the system by raising works orders. Report writing and documentation of all jobs done.
