In the traditional model of computing, both data and software are fully contained on the user's computer. In cloud computing, the user's computer may contain almost no software or data (perhaps a minimal operating system and web browser only), serving as little more than a display terminal for processes occurring on a network of computers far away.
The term Web 2.0 is associated with web applications that facilitate participatory information sharing, interoperability, usercentered design, and collaboration on the World Wide Web.
A wiki is a website that allows the creation and editing of any number of interlinked web pages via a web browser.

Stages of Integrating ICT into Education Learning institutions are under pressure to prepare students for the changing face of society and the workplace, forcing the issue of integrating ICT into education. Institutions are at differing stages in the process. The issues and challenges that face policy and decision makers may vary according to the progress made.

Challenges: Capability and Connectivity The key issues and challenges facing decision-makers may be conveniently divided into two groups. The first set relates to capability and connectivity. Included under capability and connectivity are: ICT infrastructure Total cost of ICT tools Technical support Professional development of teachers
Challenges: Access, Content, and Curriculum The second set of key issues and challenges relates to access, content, and curriculum. Items that fall under this category include access and equity, teaching and learning resources, language and culture, and curriculum development.
