There are four types of financial aid: Scholarships (don t have to repay): UW-Richland awards over 100 scholarships typically totaling over $100,000. Loans (must be repaid): Fewer than half of UW-Richland students take out student loans. Work-study jobs on Grants To qualify for financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available at Be sure to write in the UW Colleges code # You may apply for financial aid anytime after January 1 of the year you plan to attend. You must submit all forms by April 1 to receive funding priority. Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree Bachelor s degrees The BAAS degree is a bachelor s degree that can be earned right here at UW-Richland in collaboration with UW-Platteville. Classes are taught by faculty from both UW-Richland and UW-Platteville. The BAAS degree emphasizes community involvement and practical experience. It features: a professional experience component that includes internships and service-learning a year-long senior capstone seminar focused on an individualized research project up to six credits for prior learning for students who can document learning experiences equivalent to a university-level course flexible course delivery including online classes, accelerated shortcourse formats, and evening or weekend courses Students must first earn an Associate of Arts and Science degree from UW-Richland or an equivalent liberal arts associate degree.... Complete and sign the UW System Application for Undergraduate Admission with a $44 processing fee. Apply online at apply.wisconsin.edu. 1. Fill out the FAFSA form (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at your guidance office or our student affairs office. 1. Meet with a UW-Richland advisor to select your classes and discuss your goals. 2. Register for classes in person or online.... apply.wisconsin.edu 2. Submit (or ask your high school to submit) an official copy of your high school transcript showing a minimum of 17 high school credits, including four English, three social science, three math, three natural science and four electives. You may submit a GED or HSED in place of a high school transcript. 2. Take the required placement tests in English and math. 3. Submit a scholarship application if you are applying for scholarships. 3. Participate in the new freshmen orientation. 3. Send your ACT (American College Test) or SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) scores to the student affairs office.
