1 UW Colleges to UW Oshkosh PROGRAM TRANSFER GUIDE FOR STUDENTS FROM THE UW COLLEGES COLLEGE OF EDUCATION AND HUMAN SERVICES (COEHS) DEGREE: Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE) MAJOR: Elementary Education: Early Childhood-Middle Childhood (EC-MC / PK-6) OR Middle Childhood-Early Adolescence (MC-EA / 1-8) OR Early Childhood-Middle Childhood with Middle Childhood-Early Adolescence (EC-MC with MC-EA / PK-8) I. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Please send to UW Oshkosh a UW System application, along with official transcripts from high school (if less than 30 college credits have been earned) and all colleges attended. As of September 1, 2003, no application fee is required for students transferring directly from a UW College to UW Oshkosh. Indicate that you will be an education major on the UW System application. Admission to UW Oshkosh does not guarantee admission to the Professional Education Program (PEP). Application to the COEHS is detailed on page 6, item II. Application to licensure program/pep is detailed on page 6, item III. Minimum eligibility requirements outlined on page 6 must be met in order to apply to the COEHS and/or licensure program/pep. Additionally, failure to transfer without the required GPA and passing scores on the Praxis I will delay time to degree completion. Due to program changes, application procedures and information is updated each semester. Therefore, application materials (the binder) should not be purchased from the UW Oshkosh Bookstore until the semester applying to the COEHS. To learn more about this process, students should contact the UW Oshkosh Professional Education Program (PEP) Office at (920) Prospective education majors transferring to UW Oshkosh are required to attend a Titan Transfer advising session. The College of Education and Human Services will consider all grades from all institutions for eligibility purposes (Combined GPA). II. COLLEGE OF EDUCATION AND HUMAN SERVICES REQUIRED COURSES (GENERAL EDUCATION AND DEGREE REQUIREMENTS) A minimum of 42 General Education credits is required. You will be required to include a graded assignment from a General Education course or content major or minor course in your Initial Portfolio. This must demonstrate your subject matter knowledge of Wisconsin Teacher Standard One. Students who transfer to UW Oshkosh with the AAS degree will have met the minimum University General Education requirements, but not the BSE degree requirements.
