Oversee the division of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS). This includes the following areas: Adult Degree Program offering courses leading to a bachelor's degree through regular classes, self-directed studies (SDS), individualized bachelors of arts and a Master's of Arts in Liberal Studies; Office of Continuing Education, which offers non-credit personal enrichment courses as well as several certificate programs in the areas of networking and health related areas; Workforce Education, which offers training for job placement through various contracts with private concerns as well as NYC agencies; ESL courses for non-english speakers who may be recent arrivals or foreign students studying through F-1 visas; Small Business Development Center, an SBA sponsored center offering services to small business including start-ups; CUNY on the Concourse (COTC), an off-campus site which houses the Bronx Business Bridge (BBB), a start-up incubator, as well as an itech Innovation Lab for startup IT businesses. Responsible for the development and management of a budget in excess of $3 million and supervising a staff of eight direct reports. Assistant Vice President for External Affairs and Advancement Lehman College, CUNY 10/07 to 8/08 As A VP for External Affairs and Advancement, direct supervision over the Director of Media Relations, the Executive Director of the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts (PAC) and the Director of the Lehman College Art Gallery. The PAC has a budget of $2 million, while the Art Gallery has a budget of $500k. Both of these organizations are separate 501 ( c) 3 organizations with their own separate Board of Directors. From 1/08 to 8/08 directed the division oflnstitutional Advancement of the College on an interim basis. This included direct supervision of the Executive Director of the Lehman College Foundation with an endowment of $7 million, the Director of Development, Director of Corporate Relations and Director of Alumni Relations. Developed, coordinated and 2

3 implemented the CUNY Capital Campaign for Lehman Collefie and all of the fundraising efforts for the College. Over aw all activit ies related to College s Anniversary. Served as President of the Bronx Information Network (BIN), a consortium ofk-12 schools, health clinics, arts organizations and other community based organizations. As the lead institution, administered a grant of $3 million from Verizon for Lehman to provide internet connectivity and service to member institutions. Served as institutional representative to the Advanced Network for Minority Serving Institutions (AN-MSI) Project for four years; an NSF funded initiative through EDUCAUSE to assess and establish IT infrastructure at MSis. Served as Campus Executive for a CUNY-wide Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) project called CUNY FIRST, bringing the PeopleSoft/Oracle applications systems to Lehman College. Supervised the Office of Project Management for the College, including the CUNY FIRST project. Insured that the campus community and the offices involved are well informed of the CUNY FIRST project. Developed and supervised an office-by-office business process 3

4 documentation and assessment for the project. Developed campus personnel training plans for each of the pillars involved in the CUNY FIRST project. Directed the development of security access protocols for all college departments and personnel. Prepare special projects on budget issues and institutional processes. Served as member of the President's Budget Committee. Supervised the Directors of Facilities, Public Safety, Athletic Facility, Human Resources and Information Technology Center. Vice President Administration and Finance 12/2012 to 12/2013 Westfield State University Westfield, MA A comprehensive public institution offering bachelors and masters programs. The overall enrollment is approximately 5,600 students of which 4,900 are undergraduates. There are approximately 3,050 students living on campus residences. The University's budget is close to $95 million. Function as the Chief Fiscal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of the University. As Chief Fiscal Officer, provide direct supervision for all matters related to the University's finances. These include Finance and Accounting, Budget, Student Accounts, Payroll and Purchasing. Responsible for preparation of yearly budget requests, in consultation with University's Budget Committee. Responsible for budget approval submission to Board of Trustees. Responsible for submission of quarterly budget reports to President and Board of Trustees. Monitor expenditures to insure compliance with Federal, State, and Board of Trustees Approved Policies on expenditures. As Chief Administrative Officer provide oversight for administrative and operational services of the institution. This includes Human Resources and Campus Facilities and Operations. Work with established campus committees and state agencies on planning of new construction and major renovations. Work with appropriate agencies on bonding of construction projects and major renovation of facilities, for student residences as well as academic facilities. Work with institutional constituents on harmonious relations with collective bargaining representatives. Vice President for Finance & Administration College of Staten Island, CUNY Staten Island, NY 08/08 to 6/2011 A comprehensive institution offering associates, bachelors and masters programs. In collaboration with the CUNY Graduate Center it also offers seven doctoral programs enrolling over 150 students. The overall enrollment of the College exceeds 13,500 students. The College of Staten Island (CSI) is composed of 21 buildings spread over 204 acres in a park-like setting with an overall budget exceeding $100 million. Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of the College. As Chief Financial Officer, provide direct supervision for all fiscal matters, budgets and offices related to finance. These include, Budget Office, Accounting Office, Purchasing Office, Payroll Office and Bursar 5

6 Office. Responsible for the preparation of yearly budget requests. In consultation with President and Chief Academic Officer, prepare budget allocations for academic areas as well as other divisions. Monitor expenditures to insure compliance with all Federal, State, and CUNY regulations and to insure a balanced budget. Prepare and submit yearly balanced spending plans. Oversee compliance with all State and Federal audits, including A-133. As Chief Administrative Officer, provided supervision for administrative and operational areas of the College. These included, Human Resources, Auxiliary Services Corporation, Public Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Campus Planning, Buildings and Grounds and Operational Services. The division of Finance & Administration has over 250 employees in a highly unionized environment with several collective bargaining units representing the various categories of employees. Serve as President of the CSI Auxiliary Services Corporation. This is a $3 million operation outside the tax-levy allocation. Oversee the Capital Repairs plan for the college. Work harmoniously with internal campus constituencies, faculty, student groups, staff, and collective bargaining units. Work with Central Office to insure compliance with established CUNY policies, initiatives and guidelines. Lead a complex division that provides a myriad of infrastructure services to accomplish academic and service missions. Jvfi1ior Accomplishments : Implemented the development and distribution of monthly expenditures reports to all divisions. Created an environment of transparency in the capital and facilities processes of the College. Established a culture of service adhering to principles of assessment. Developed an implemented a divisional assessment plan Implemented a shuttle service from the Staten Island Ferry to the College. Coordinated the Master Planning process for CSI's future facilities construction Established a Campus Safety Aides program in Public Safety. Developed protocols and improved compliance and safety in handling of hazardous waste in laboratories. Developed and implemented a campus recycling program. Established several initiatives to reduce carbon footprint emissions. Oversee the implementation of a student housing project at CSL Developed a plan for critical maintenance of facilities Vice President of Administration and Finance Bunker Hill Community College Boston, MA 9/93 to 12/96 A two-year public community college, part of al 5 campuses community college system with an enrollment of 6,500 students and an annual budget of $25 million. Chief financial officer (CFO) and general administrative officer for the institution. Member of President's Cabinet. Principal adviser to the President and the Board of Trustees on all matters 6

7 related to fiscal policies including fee structures and capital projects. Supervised the preparation of budgets, financial reports, and the expenditure of all funds. Supervised the development and operation of an accounting system pertaining to the annual operating and capital budget. Developed policies and procedures for divisional departments. Developed an asbestos abatement plan, as well as deferred maintenance plan. Implemented a classroom equipment replacement plan. Served as Budget Director for a year due to vacancy.
