Formerly held on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, this year s meeting has moved to the rolling hills of the Texas Hill Country. Nestled along the banks of the Colorado River, the Lost Pines Resort is the ideal venue for attendees and their family members. This unique setting will provide opportunities for attendees to interact directly with faculty from Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children s Hospital, and The Children s Hospital at Scott & White. OBJecTiveS At the conclusion of the conference, participants should be able to: Assess adolescent females presenting with abdominal pain to determine the cause and institute appropriate treatment. Select appropriate tools to assess developmental problems in children. implement the current immunization recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (AciP) for children/adolescents. Select appropriate diagnostic tests and treat children with significant illness presenting with diarrhea or constipation. Diagnose children/adolescents with community-acquired methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections and manage appropriately. 3 EVALUATION Evaluation by questionnaire will address program content, presentation, and possible bias. Cancellations are subject to a $50 administrative fee deducted from the registration fee paid to cover guarantees and other expenses. Requests should be ed to the OCME at cme@bcm.edu or faxed to The OCME reserves the right to cancel activities, not less than 10 business days before the scheduled date, if extenuating circumstances make it necessary.
