11 Collaborating with the Faith Community You Gotta Have Faith! Faith-Based Adolescents Involved in Total Health (FAITH) project is a study of faith-based youth workers influence on adolescent sexual health and decision-making Youth who are involved in their churches are being identified by their pastors and youth ministers to be involved in the data collection for this project. Youth researchers were trained in ethnographic research methods during a three day workshop in April. Reverend Dr. Carlton W. Veazey, President and CEO of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, will head this a Faith Forum on Adolescent Sexuality and Religiosity (February 2012) Faith and Sexuality Forum (February 16, 2013) with Reverends Jeremiah Wright and Otis Moss III

13 UHI Structure The UHI reports to the President of the university through the Provost The UHI Advisory Board is comprised of the CEO of JHH together with the Deans of Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Education, Business, Arts and Sciences Community-University Coordinating Council comprised of 11Hopkins and an equal number of community leaders

14 Conclusion The nation needs the Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute to be a leader and role model on how academic institutions engage the residents living in the shadow of great academic health science buildings.
