4 NEW COUNSELOR VISION Our vision is to offer our counseling services based on grade specific needs, giving more attention to students at all grade levels. Students will have a guidance counselor for freshman year through fall of junior year to focus on the transition to high school, academic performance, social needs and college exploration. In the spring of junior year, students will transition to their college counselor to finalize and execute post-high school plans.

8 ADD/DROP POLICY Students will be allowed to make course selection changes, based on space available, within the three-week timeline and limitations listed below. Proper protocol and paperwork must be followed before a change is made. Please note, due to master schedule restrictions CCHS cannot accommodate student-initiated course changes for convenience such as teacher preference, class block or semester. Prior to the first day of school: Students may change class selections based on space available. First academic week of school: Students may change class selections within the following parameters: - Student initiated level down changes as space permits (AP/H to college prep) - Teacher initiated level up changes as space permits - Course elective drop to a non-academic course as space permits Second and third academic week of school: Only class changes initiated by a teacher, counselor or administrator will be allowed as space permits. No class changes will be made after the third week of school.
