3 ADD VALUE TO YOUR CV Business Day Each year, the Faculty organises a Business Day, an event that promotes the development of the personal, social and professional competences of our students through challenges proposed by real companies that students have to face in teams. During the competition, students acquire and put into practice skills related to leadership, cooperative work, communication, creativity and innovation. University-Business Day UIC Barcelona facilitates meetings between our students and leading companies from various sectors which are looking for students to do work placements or employees for junior positions. It provides an in-depth and realistic overview of the professional reality. The general sessions are taught by teachers from internationally renowned business schools. The programme incorporates various methodologies and includes discussions on real cases. It includes managers, senior executives and visits to companies. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the Consulting Competition with students from different years. The programme director will supervise the projects, and the conclusions will be presented to the public and assessed by a panel of experts. Work placement agreements Professional development and labour insertion for young people is a priority in the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at UIC Barcelona. The professional work placement programme is something that sets our students education apart. It will allow them to complement the knowledge and skills they acquire in the classroom with real professional experience. We offer each student guidance, training, tutorials and individual advice, to ensure the success of this highly enriching experience which, apart from being educational, may help them secure a job. We hold more than 450 agreements with prestigious companies and institutions in different fields and offer opportunities for work experience at both a national and an international level. INTERNATIONAL AND WORK PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES Mobility agreements We hold 5 international mobility agreements in 2 countries around the world and with universities such as the University of Vienna, Freie Universität Berlin, the University of Coventry (United Kingdom), the Catholic University of Lyon, the University of Zurich, the National University of Seoul (South Korea) the University of Western Ontario (Canada) and Felician College (New Jersey), etc. UC Berkeley Summer School and UCLA (USA) UIC Barcelona holds an agreement with the University of California-Berkeley, under which our students will receive a 40% discount on summer courses at this prestigious Californian university and have their credits officially recognised. UC Berkeley is one of the best universities in the world, and UIC Barcelona is its first and only partner in Spain. We also hold exclusive agreements with UCLA.

6 Double Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration Management + Ingegneria della Produzione Industriale A professor will personally provide guidance to each UIC Barcelona student. We take a multidisciplinary approach that will prepare you for any professional challenge you need to tackle. Our course brings together two points of view: an international outlook and a cross-disciplinary, eminently practical approach. The curriculum for this double degree course combines an understanding of both business and industrial production. This pluri-disciplinary approach is made possible due to the fact that the course is co-organised by the Polytechnic University of Torino: part of the programme takes place in Barcelona, part in Torino. You will have the opportunity to undertake a six-month in-company work placement in both countries.

Iona College and UIC Barcelona jointly offer the UIC-Iona Fast Track MBA Program, which is a great opportunity for Business Administration Management students to go to New York and obtain an MBA from the Hagan School of Business in only one year. This is an exclusive program offered to UIC Barcelona students that has multiple advantages: 1. Obtaining an MBA in 1 year instead of two which is the normal duration of a standard MBA program. 2. A specific coordinator to attend to the needs of the students on the programme.. A saving of almost dollars. 4.
