6 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT We are thankful to Young India for conducting the workshop Organizing Department: Department of Management, AIMT Date: Time: 10 am onwards Overview of the event (in 300 words): The workshop on entrepreneurship was conducted by the Young India group for management students. The first part of the workshop was informative as the resource person, Mr Nitul Kalita emphasized on the initial stages of entrepreneurship. This included the idea generation and report preparation, the sources of funding and other relevant information. The later part of the workshop included the student s participation in the activities of preparing a Business Model. The participating students were divided to small groups and they prepared individual Business Model Canvas. The individual groups also presented their business plans to the audience. The same plans were analyzed by the resource persons and feedbacks given to the participants. Conclusion (in 200 words): The seminar was very informative and the students greatly enjoyed the workshop. The students were very interactive. 14 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT Management of Powerline Industries Organizing Department: Department of Management Industry Visited: Powerline Industries, 9 th mile, Baridua, Meghalaya Date: Time: am to 2pm Overview of the event: The students of BBA 3 rd sem, BBA 1 st year and MBA BU 1 st year numbering 16, 2 and 12 respectively were sent the Powerline Industries, Meghalaya for an Industrial Visit. The group was accompanied by two teachers of the department namely, Mr Avisek Purkayastha and Mr Rohit Bharadwaz. The students left the campus at about 10 am by bus. They reached the campus by 11 am where they were divided into two groups. Then they were given a tour in the production facility of the organization for about an hour. Then they were assembled in the hall where an interactive session was held with the top management of the organization. The entire event took for about 3hrs and after that the students came back to the campus. Conclusion (in 200 words): The entire industrial visit was very informative and the students enjoyed the visit very much. The students got a real life understanding in the functioning of a production house. 21 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT Management of North Eastern Tubes Ltd(Nezone) Organizing Department: Department of Management Industry Visited: North Eastern Tubes Ltd(Nezone) Paschim Boragoan NH-37 Guwahati-33 Date: Time: 13 th October am-3pm Overview of the event: The students of BBA 1 st sem under Gauhati University and BCom 1 st sem under Dibrugarh University were taken to North Eastern Tubes Ltd(Nezone), Paschim Boragoan NH- 37,Guwahati-33 accompanied by two faculty members Mr Avisek Purkayastha and Mr Manash Barman. The students left the campus by bus at about 11 am. After reaching the venue, they were greeted by the employee of the organization, Mr Diganta Kalita. The students were teamed up by the staff and they were taken for a tour of the factory. Inside the factory the students were given demonstration on the factory processes. The students were very inquisitive and took lots of photographs of the real life factory setting. Conclusion (in 200 words): The students had gone for the industrial visit for the 1 st time and they enjoyed the visit very much. The entire industrial visit was very informative and they got a real life understanding in the functioning of a production house. The main objective of mobilizing wall magazine is to initiate writing tendency in pupil teachers and attract their attention on current affairs. The wall magazine was prepared by mainly BCom 5 th sem and BCom 3 rd sem with the heading e- commerce. After this event, an inter batch quiz competition was held among the various batches of Management department. A total of 7 ongoing batches with 2 teams each participated in the event. The winners were BBA 3 rd sem(1 st prize) and BBA 5 th sem(2 nd prize). The event was hosted by Mr Avisek Purkayastha and Ms Debosree Sarma. It also helps them in developing the positive and desirable qualities. Acknowledgement: The day we assigned the project we were uncertain of being successful. But as we began the work we were motivated to go further. Helping hand, team dedication and the commitment for the work by the teammates make this project a grand success. Days passed, but the team spirit still remains the same for the successful completion of this project, the entire team would like thank who are directly or indirectly in it. Introduction: A Wall Magazine being edited by pupil teachers of class in college campus. The main objective of mobilizing wall magazine is to initiate writing tendency in pupil teachers and attract their attention on current incident. Analysis: Our H.O.D Sayanika Ma m, Mentor Nayan Sir & Manash Sir give us the opportunity to prepare a wall magazine from Commerce Department and also said to select a topic which is related in current affairs as well as our course. We select our topic as E-COMMERCE WHICH AFFECT IN PRESENT BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT IN INDIA When we started to prepare the wall magazine 1 st we planned how to make the magazine after that we divided our work between-rubul, Riku, Ginliallal, Ramandeep, Priyanka,Rahul,Jyotisman who has handled the designed & cutting part. Shankar, Bhaskar,
30 Sudarshan, Rahul, Riku handle to collect the information about the topic. Bikramjit, Rimpi, Khamren, Vishal, Afzalur, Rahul has done the drawing & written all the article & art of the magazine. At the time of work we learn different things and enjoyed a lot. At last our work is completed.on 14 aug 2015 our honourable Principal Sir Dr. Niren Deka inaugurate our wall magazine. After that our Sir & Ma m of Management dept. surprisingly arranged a quiz competition for all the student of management & commerce dept. In primary round they select 4 student from every class for the second round. In second round there are 14 groups means 2 groups from every batch. The second & third round of the quiz competition was very interesting. The types of the questions which quizzer show was a tagline of a company & asked the name of the company, has shown the flag of different countries also & asked the name of the country, showed the different logo of different organization & asked the name of the organization. So the whole event was very interesting as well as very helpful for us. Lastly 2 groups of BBA 3 rd & BBA 5 th got 1 st & 2 nd positions in the competitions. Conclusions: That day was one of the most memorable day for us. We the B.Com team like to give thanks and gratitude towards the entire management department, Head of the department, teaching staff and institute who had provide tremendous platform and guide us through this memorable journey. Not to forget the effort and hard work of every individual. We would like to thank all those who have contributed so much in accomplishing this wonderful project.

44 Organized By: Sports, Culture and Student welfare cell, IQAC Topic of Discussion : Pre-Gandhi Jayanti Celebration Date: 01/09/2015 Time: 12:00 pm Venue: Seminar Hall A Block Overview of the event (in 300 words): On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, Asian Institute of Management and Technology decided to pay homage to the great soul, father of the nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. A short programme was held in the college premises where a renowned Gandhian, Mr. Jyotinath Sarma Bordoloi gave a speech on the life history of Gandhiji. Mr. Jyotinath Sarma Bordoloi is an educationist, cultural activist and Gandhian. He served in the Education Department and he has also penned and tuned several songs and has several music albums and books to his credit. He is a radio approved artiste. Conclusion (in 200 words): The entire programmed was followed by two competition among the students of four department i.e. Pencil Sketch competition and Quiz Competition. The entire programme was anchored by two of our students from Mass communication department. The name of the students are Saurav Baruah and Paridhi Agarwal. 50 Sanskriti 15 Asian Institute of Management and Technology Guwahati Sanskriti is the Annual Event of Asian Institute of Management and Technology and Asian Institute of Management and Sciences. In this event the students actively take part in various events like singing, dancing, painting, talent hunt, quiz, debate etc. These events expose the talent of the students and break the monotony of everyday classwork. The annual cultural event of AIMT, Sanskriti 2015 was held on the 14 th and 15 th of February 2015 at Shilpagram, Guwahati. This year the event was an inter-college one and many colleges from Guwahati like Dispur College, Gauhati Commerce College, ICON Academy etc. participated in the various events during the two days. The gala event of 2 days was a cultural extravaganza. The event started with the lighting of the lamp by the principal Dr. Niren Deka. The 1 st event of the day was Kalakar, which is the fine art competition which consisted of poster painting, t-shirt painting and sketching. There were around 38 contestant from the different colleges of Guwahati. The winners were awarded with certificate and goodies by the faculty members. Simultaneously the quiz competition, Brainstorm, was being conducted in the auditorium which had participants from different colleges. The quiz competition was followed by Act and React, which is the debate competition. Mr. and Miss Sanskriti which is a show filled with fun and fashion was one of the main events of the first day. It was organized in association with the JD Institute of fashion and Technology, Guwahati. The music competition, Sargam was also held on the first day itself with around 28 contestants from different colleges. In the evening, DJ night was organized where the crowd grooved to the tunes of famous DJ Gurbax from Vh1 Supersonic 101. On the second day, the dance competition, Nritya was organized which had participants from many colleges of Guwahati as well as from Shillong. The competition was a great success. In the evening of the same day Rock Rules, a group rock competition was organized which also had around 7 participant groups. The special attraction of the evening was a rock concert by a very famous rock band from Mumbai, The Demonic Resurrection. Thus, Sanskriti 2015 concluded
51 with the performance by the rock band. All the participants and the people present in the two days gala event enjoyed themselves all throughout. The event altogether was a huge success.

We select our topic as E-COMMERCE WHICH AFFECT IN PRESENT BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT IN INDIA When we started to prepare the wall magazine 1 st we planned how to make the magazine after that we divided our work between-rubul, Riku, Ginliallal, Ramandeep, Priyanka,Rahul,Jyotisman who has handled the designed & cutting part. Shankar, Bhaskar, Sudarshan, Rahul, Riku handle to collect the information about the topic. Bikramjit, Rimpi, Khamren, Vishal, Afzalur, Rahul has done the drawing & written all the article & art of the magazine. At the time of work we learn different things and enjoyed a lot. At last our work is completed.on 14 aug 2015 our honourable
82 Principal Sir Dr. Niren Deka inaugurate our wall magazine. After that our Sir & Ma m of Management dept. surprisingly arranged a quiz competition for all the student of management & commerce dept. In primary round they select 4 student from every class for the second round. In second round there are 14 groups means 2 groups from every batch. The second & third round of the quiz competition was very interesting. The types of the questions which quizzer show was a tagline of a company & asked the name of the company, has shown the flag of different countries also & asked the name of the country, showed the different logo of different organization & asked the name of the organization. So the whole event was very interesting as well as very helpful for us. Lastly 2 groups of BBA 3 rd & BBA 5 th got 1 st & 2 nd positions in the competitions. That day was one of the most memorable day for us.
83 Conclusions: We the B.Com team like to give thanks and gratitude towards the entire management department, Head of the department, teaching staff and institute who had provide tremendous platform and guide us through this memorable journey. Not to forget the effort and hard work of every individual. We would like to thank all those who have contributed so much in accomplishing this wonderful project.

He emphasized that Human Resource management is not a very easy subject and students need to have a better understanding of the human relations. He further elaborated that the role of HR is very difficult. He elaborated some incidents that had occurred with him during his tenure as the HR manager that included threats and external pressure from workers and unions. The Freshers were formally welcomed into the AIMT Family. The program kick started with a song by a BBA 3 rd SEM student followed by the introduction round. The other programmes of the day were speech by Borbora Sir, Avisek Sir, Quiz round, games like naughty balloon, dancing, singing, performing tasks etc. Then there was a refreshment break. The last round of the competition of Mr. & Miss Fresher was ramp walk and the announcement of the winner by Avisek Sir. The Mr. Fresher had gone to Haoni Bang and Miss. Fresher had gone to Naphi Wahlang and there is also a special prize for best singer which had gone to Kaustav. And lastly was a speech by 1 st SEM student thanking all the seniors and the teachers and also a speech by our HOD. The program ended by 2:30pm.

All the preparations and planning of so many days, have finally came to an end on the very fresher s day. The programme started our program sharp at around 11 am where the invited guests of the day the fresher s turned in. The fresher s arrived with their beautiful and elegant outfits. It was their day so they deserve to be praised and admire. Everyone got seated comfortably with a smile and with this the fresher s party got started with a very warm welcome speech by Ramandeep Singh. Subsequently, a group song was presented by Sudarshan Das, T.Ginlianlal and Riprap Noga. Everyone enjoyed their performance. Soon after the group song, the introductory round started where each of the fresher very smartly introduced themselves. A melodious song was presented by Sekholu Ruho and by the end of the song refreshments were distributed among everyone. The fun loaded mimikri and energetic dance was performed by Aditya Sharma to refresh everyone after the refreshments. After that the most awaited programme of that day s party, Mr. And Miss Fresher got started. With the help of the interesting rounds the B.Com department got their new Mr. And Miss. Freshers With this the fresher s party came to an end. Everyone s face clearly resembles the

The event started at about 10am and continued up to 2pm. The event started with a welcome note by Mr Rohit Bharadwaz followed by a speech by Ms Sayanika Deka Sarma. There was a poem recitation by Mr Nanda Ram Saud followed by beautiful songs by Ms Himadri Chowdhury and Mr Avisek Purkayastha. The students also participated in the games arranged for them. The programme was anchored by Sumit Gurung from B.Com and Riya Choudhury from BMC. The programme started with lighting of the candles by the honourable Principal and the HOD s. It was followed by a Christmas carol by Avisek Purkhaystha and some of his students. Songs were also presented by students such as Jugal Dewry, Bhaktimala Choudhury, Premkanta Singha, Rohan Singh and Rajkamal Kashyap. Silpi Nath, a Biotech student gave a presentation on the significance of Christmas. The main attraction of the event was the performance of songs by guest artiste Chandan Gautam, a popular singer of the state. He was felicitated by Himadri Chowdhury, Asst Professor,AIMT. He was accompanied by D.S. Borbora, Asst Professor,AIMT. The event came to an end with the vote of thanks extended by the anchor. Conclusion : The entire programme was quite entertaining and successful through the cooperation of everyone concerned in association with Sports, Culture and students welfare cell,iqac. The success of the first attempt of celebrating Christmas Eve has inspired everyone to celebrate it every year in the Institute henceforth.
