If that s the case Berlin School of Economics and Law is the right place to be! Here you will get all professional and methodical knowledge you need for setting up a company. For your start-up the Bachelor s study programme Entrepreneurship and Corporate Succession will prepare you with an assortment of practicable methods. Furthermore graduates receive an international Bachelor s degree that allows also application to postgraduate study programmes. As an evening study programme participant (part-time) you will have time for both, on-the-job training and theoretical studying at the university. With around students the Berlin School of Economics and Law is a large advanced educational establishment for applied science located in Germany s capital. It is characterized by a marked practical orientation, by intensive and varied research, high quality standards and a strongly international orientation. The subjects offered embrace private and public Economic Management, Administrative Management, Law Management and Security Management, as well as Engineering Science in more than 50 courses of study. Almost all courses of study have been adapted to Bachelor and Master certificates, have been checked for quality and bear the seal of the accrediting body. At the Berlin School of Economics and Law students find an intercultural and practice-oriented learning environment. Small study groups ensure a quick response to individual learning requirements. 3 Content and structure The bachelor s study programme has a First and a Second Section. The First Section takes four semesters and provides you with theoretical basics. It covers studies in entrepreneurship, general business and economics, business accounting and business law as well as social sciences, statistics and business mathematics. Of course important key skills (English, communication, self management) will be trained and professionalized. Within the Second Section you choose one of the two specialisations»start-up«or»corporate succession«and you will be introduced to the challenges of entrepreneurship. The practice-oriented Second Section includes day-to-day business methods within the courses and creating real business plans. During the sixth semester you will write your bachelor thesis. You will discuss questions concerning strategic management, finance, marketing or entrepreneurship. You will finish your studying by creating a specific business plan or business model that is related to your personal start-up. The Second Section includes a comprehensive project monitoring. Languages of instruction German and English Qualification After successfully completing the study programme, the student is awarded the academic degree of Bachelor of Arts (B. A.) by the Berlin School of Economics and Law. This first job-qualification degree is worth a total of 180 ECTS credit points and is internationally recognized. Corresponding to their qualification students also have the possibility to gain the academic degree of Master of Arts (M. A.), e. g. at the BSEL, by then going on to pass a Master s study programme which lasts three semesters. Students are required to pay a semester fee. The semester fee includes a contribution to the Studentenwerk Berlin, the student representative body as well as the enrolment and administration fee.
