2 International Business Administration The Bachelor s degree offered by the Lucerne School of Business is a comprehensive and up-to-the-minute higher education programme completely taught in English. General Management and Economics The programme consists of a generalist component combined with one out of the three specialisations. In the generalist component students acquire foundational management skills and the ability to analyse and evaluate important variables in the corporate environment. The focus on specialisations starts at the beginning of the second half of the programme. At that point, the emphasis is on developing subject-specific proficiency in the area of specialisation. Generic skills will be further developed through related practical training. The programme is brand new and has been designed to include a wide range of tourism-related topics, such as tour operating, airlines, hotel and hospitality management, wellness, sports and destination management. Students also have the opportunity to acquire a good understanding of product development and product manage ment in tourism, of e-commerce, digital transformation, event management, consumer behaviour, trends and innovation.
