The Director has the power to incur expenditure provided for in the approved budget of the Institute. He has the power to sanction expenditure up to Rs.25, 000/- within the budget provision and according to Financial Rules of the University. 3
4 The Director may constitute such committees, including the Selection Committee (for appointment of the staff other than officers and teachers) as may be necessary for the efficient functioning of the Institute subject to the availability of funds in the budget of the Institute. The Director is the appointing authority for staff in pay scales 1 to 4 (total pay scales are 10).
