1 24th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Pakistan Society of Development Economists The Marriott, Islamabad 31st March 2nd April, 2009 For Students: Please Read the following Instructions CAREFULLY! Instructions for Out-Stationed Students: Please re-check your name in the FINAL LIST of the invited students (out-stationed category) before departure and read the following instructions carefully! Submissions other than those included in the FINAL LIST may be considered rejected. On Tuesday, March 31, 2009, Please reach The Marriott Hotel, Islamabad, before 10:00 a.m. Receive your formal Invitation Card at the front desk Register for the conference at the Students Desk, at the PSDE Resource Centre Take your seat for the Inaugural Session. Regular presence in all sessions and conference days is COMPULSORY. Invited students must bring their original NATIONAL IDENTITY CARD, UNIVERSITY STUDENT CARD and (recent copy of) ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPTS. Invited students are responsible for their travel arrangements and overnight stay, PIDE/PSDE has NO liability whatsoever regarding the logistics and security issues. Invited students participation will be monitored STRICTLY. Every student will sign his/her attendance twice a day at the PSDE students desk, i.e., at 8:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Accumulative stipend will be paid to each student after the Quaid-i-Azam Lecture, i.e., on the last conference day. In addition to the stipend, students (participants) will get copies of the circulated papers, programme and other conference material. After the Business Session, at 6:00 p.m., on April 2, 2009, all students are invited for a Photo-shoot with the distinguished scholars in Crystal Ball Room, The Marriott. REMEMBER, it is MANDATORY for all the students to register, be punctual, and attend all the sessions of the conference to gain the PSDE Conference Certificate. The decision of the Students Invitation Committee is final. 1

You are welcome to attend the all day conference sessions on Day-II and Day-III (i.e., April 1-2, 2009).
