This is a partnership combining the experience that Lancaster University from the UK has in delivering post experience programmes with Sunway University s capacity to guide the transfer of this learning within a local business context. This ability to contextualise learning is exemplified in Sunway University s links to industry through its founder, Tan Sri Dr Jeffrey Cheah, Chairman of the Sunway Group of Companies. Lancaster University is ranked in the top 1% of universities globally and has been delivering MBA programmes for many years. According to the Economist rankings (July 2013), the Global MBA is the top ranked MBA delivered in Malaysia. Consistent with the programmes that Lancaster delivers elsewhere, this Global MBA is an innovative part-time modular Masters programme for aspiring senior managers. In addition to your work with an international faculty, you will have a series of opportunities to take part of your programme abroad. Global MBA students can take their modules at any of the other locations, currently Singapore, Jordan, Zambia, and the UK. 6 Programme Structure Entrance Requirements Students need to complete level one modules before proceeding to level two. There are no other perquisites, therefore delivering a high degree of flexibility. LEVEL ONE: Perspectives on Managing and Organising Organisational Behaviour Managing Operations Marketing Management Business Economics Management Accounting Corporate Finance Strategic Management Managing Change Integrative Case Studies Delivery Method LEVEL TWO: The Consultancy Challenge Research Methods The Applied Research Challenge - the Dissertation An undergraduate degree, preferably with at least a 2:1 class of honours; English language proficiency, preferably with an IELTS score of 7.0 or above, or alternatively with a TOEFL score of 250 or above (computer-based test) or 100 (internet-based test) or Cambridge O levels with grade C or above; Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) score of 600 or above or an alternative entry essay; and preferred five years of professional/managerial work experience.
