18 Research Track in Economics Common at several international universities: Bachelor programmes(3 or 4 Years) graduate / doctoral studies starting directly after the Bachelor Additional 4-6 years of study for a PhD, often with a Master of Research or equivalent as opt-out after 1st or 2nd year Common in Germany - three consecutive programmes: Bachelor of Science / Arts (3 years) Master of Science / Arts (2 years) Doctorate / PhD (4-6 Years) Bridgeing the gap here: Integration of a Master of Science degree and the course phase of the doctoral studies Target group: TOP20% of the cohort slide: 18

19 Research Track in Economics Close supervision by and frequent feedback from faculty members Mentoring by a senior graduate student (second year) Participation in the Faculty s research seminars Potential cooperation with one of the Faculty s research groups Office space within the CGS Preferential consideration for financial support during the PhD stage after successful completion of the M.Sc. 20 Admission requirements Bachelor's degree (finished or at least earned 80% of the required degree CP) Overall grade of at least 2.7 (German grade) at least 48 CP in Business Administration, Economics and/or Social Sciences at least 18 CP in Economics at least 15 CP in Statistics/Mathematics English level B2: e.g. TOEFL 87 ibt slide: 20

21 Selection criteria Maximum possible score: 100 Bachelor grade (34-68 points) GMAT / GRE / TM-WISO (max 32 points) Individual Score The above criteria are used to determine an individual score for each applicant. Study places are subsequently allocated according to the applicant s position on the ranking list. Last year, a score of 48 was sufficient for being admitted slide: 21
