Additionally, Kagan Structures, ereaders, and ipads will be used for whole group and small group interventions with teachers and interventionist. Antwine will implement the Accelerated Reading Program (AR) to assist with reading and comprehension. Provide a rationale explaining why this strategy is currently working or not working. (Please be thorough in your answer) Antwine will continue to provide a comprehensive plan and intensive intervention to support all students in all subject areas assessed by STAAR, STAAR M & STAAR Alt through Guided Reading, Daily 5, Teacher Created Guided Math, Foldables and VKS for Phonics, Spelling and Vocabulary, Lone Star Math, IStation, Lexia, United Streaming, Thinking Maps, Interactive Student Notebooks, School wide graphic organizers for Reading and Math, Being a Writer, IWB, Flipcharts/Activotes Questions, Webbs Depth of Knowledge, BrainChild,Brain Pop, Brain Pop Jr, Focus Poetry, Language to Literacy Charts and Active Word Walls. Additionally, Kagan Structures, ereaders, and ipads will continue to be used for whole group and small group interventions with teachers and interventionists. Antwine will continue to implement Accelerated Reader (AR.) All K 5 students have taken the initial AR STAR assessment to identify their appropriate reading level to advance reading and comprehension skills. Library lessons are also provided to all K 5 students using comprehension strategies to analyze literature in a variety of formats. IPads have been updated with free educational software to utilize technology to the fullest extent for all K 5 classes including special education and regular education classes. Also our Partners in Education, the Renegades, are used periodically as "buddy readers" for students. Implement afterschool, Saturday and intersession tutoring to support struggling learners. Antwine will continue to support and implement before school tutoring twice a week from 7:30 8, PE tutoring twice a week, afterschool tutoring up to four times a week from 3:15 4:30, Saturday tutoring during January through May from 8 12 noon, and intersession tutoring during October and March four days a week from 8 to 12 noon. Eduphoria data is used to identify student groups. Offer supplemental instruction and mentoring for atrisk students by employing a DICE, Interventionist, At-Risk Aid and Temporary Instructional Aids. Instructional team and teachers will collaborate with above support staff for targeted instruction. Antwine will continue to offer supplemental instruction and mentoring for at risk students by employing teachers, PE Coaches, Counselors, At Risk Aid, Librarian, State Compensatory Education Aid, Temporary Instructional Aids, and State Compensatory Education Intervention Coaches. Eduphoria data will be used to target weak Student Expectations and above support staff will collaborate with teachers and administration for targeted instruction.

2 Implement a campus wide Balanced Literacy program to include e-books and ipads. Campus wide Balanced Literacy program (Daily 5, Guided Reading, L to L charts, Book of the Month, Shared Reading, Leveled Readers, Read Alouds, Focus Poems, Figure 19) will continue to be implemented with continued staff development to support new teachers and teachers who need refresher training. Tumble e books are available and utilized by all students. The library has over 200 e books in our Follett shelf, however, there is trouble accessing e books but it is a vendor issue. E books are utilized during library lessons as well. ipads are being used daily during Balanced Literacy Guided Reading & Daily 5. ipads are also used in many classes for Guided Math support. Administer and analyze fall and spring core area subject benchmarks to support and provide differentiated instruction using Kagan Structures and interventions for grade level students and atrisk students. Benchmark analysis will continue to be used to provide differentiate instruction and intervention tutoring groups. Kagan Structures and Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) are used to support targetted instruction for all grade levels and at risk students. A concern is printing Benchmark answer documents and other tests or reports as the copier is sometimes out of toner due to the necessary printing requirements of the campus. Offer supplemental instruction and mentoring for atrisk students by employing a Library Aid. Offer individual counseling, mentoring and monitoring services for at-risk students in grades K- 5. Library aid is working with all grade levels (K 5th) at risk students daily in small group and tutoring sessions. Continued training is recommended for Library aid. Through RTI and 504 meetings, parents are informed about their child's needs. Various counseling services such as individual/group counseling for personal/social, academic and career are implemented to assist student academic success. Examples include 'Texas Generation Career Week, Red Ribbon, Thanksgiving/Christmas school wide programs. Through consultations with parents and teachers on various mental health issues and family referrals to community services. Interventions include ADDES/BDS screeners and professional referrals to meet K 5 student's, including at risk student's, academic needs. Counselors are meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays to tutor students with academic needs. Teachers are asking for more consistency in counseling for students. 100% of Hurshel Antwine students with disabilities will meet the mastery standards, not to exceed 1% of the tested population as assess by the STAAR Alt. Antwine will continue to support students with disabilities to meet the state requirements. Antwine complies with state and district policies with progress monitoring through special education programs, benchmark assessments, common assessments and Eduphoria data. Balanced Literacy Guided Reading & Daily 5 have also been implemented in the classrooms to close the reading gap. Students with disabilities have access to the Accelerated Reading (AR) Program.

3 Will meet the requirements of adequate yearly progress AYP on an annual basis. Antwine did not meet AYP in math for the school year. Antwine is deligently providing small group daily interventions to all students and additional tutoring before school tutoring, during PE, afterschool, Saturdays and intersession. Eduphoria data from CScope Unit Assessments, benchmarks and common assessments are used to identify weak Student Expecations and to determine student groups to provide targetted instruction. Antwine has also implemented Guided Math Numeracy in each classroom. Will provide differentiated instruction to enhance rigor and relevance for GT students to include participation in district performance standards, projects, and Teamquest competitions. All teachers had the opportunity to receive GT training this year through the district two day Kagan Training. Teachers are implementing Kagan Structures to differentiate instruction for their GT students. Third through 5th grade GT students also participate in Team Quest Competition and 4th grade students are required to complete a GT project each year. GT students meet weekly to extend their knowledge base and to provide them with unique and interesting experiences. Students review, discuss, analyze various literary genres monthly such as biographies, fantasies, folktales, Caldecott Award winners along with a end of year GT Showcase. Monthly GT newsletters are also sent to GT parents. Will provide health classes through PE, Nurse and Parent Liaison to promote a healthier lifestyle. Health classes are continuing weekly through PE. The CATCH program continues to be implemented by Coaches with 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity daily along with health and nutrition instruction. Nurse continues to promote wiser and healthier lifestyle and has provided Kinder and 1st grade students with better dental habits lessons. Social studies and science ereaders are to be utilized by 4th and 5th grade students, however, it is difficult to access its website, therefore, implementation has been minimal. ereaders is not available to lower grades. Guided Math has been implement campus wide with the focus on the first of seven components Numeracy. Teachers need more relevant training on Guided Math protocol and expectations. Hurshel Antwine has had several new employees and each new employee has an assigned mentor and grade level support. Mentors and mentees meet regularly and adminstration maintains an open communication with new employees.

All teachers are provided professional staff development during Wednesday campus trainings, afterschool trainings, monthly half day trainings, and district wide trainings. Staff development is determined by campus needs and district initiatives. Trainings include: Kagan Structures, SIOP, Daily 5, Guided Reading, Guide Math, Academic Vocabulary, Word Walls, Lto L Charts, Rigor, CScope, and Eduphoria. Additional professional training is available through Region 19 and Head Start. Campus is in need of additional intervention strategies to include DRA and Istation. Bullying Prevention Program through use of the Lessons are provided by each teacher to address bullying on Fridays. Connection with Kids and the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program is to help students both on and off campus with strategies and interventions to stop bullying. The initial meeting, "We are Welcome Here, Our Kindness Circle" included working as a team. Students connected with their peers and helped the shy students make friends and be comfortable coming to school. The lesson on Creating a Talking Stick and Using the Talking Stick unified the students since they were working with one common purpose of designing their Talking Stick and being respectful of others. Another lesson on Feelings allowed students to make connections with problems they have in the playground and how to express their feelings. This lesson helped them understand that they are not alone and that they can count on the adults in school and the adults at home to help. Different types of cyber bullying was also taught and responsibilities comes with using any communication device as the Internet or their personal phones. Annual bullying surverys are given to parents, staff and students to provide important information on how students view and address bullying. Connect wth Kids website at times is difficult to access. It is recommended that lessons be changed from Fridays to Mondays. During the school year, our Monitor performance data through the use of programs and services to Eduphoria. Data driven decision making is a critical piece in monitoring student and campus performance. Eduphoria data is consistently used to analyze students strengths and weaknesses on supporting and readiness standards. Data is also shared with teachers and interventions are determined. Eduphoria data is also used during Response to Intervention parent meetings to further communicate to parents student's student weaknesses and strengths and determine a plan of action. Data Walls are posted and routinely analyzed by teachers and administration. Eduphoria data is limited to 2nd 5th grade. Recommend to include Kinder and 1st grade for consistency and data accuracy. During the school year, our Incorporate Test Bank Questions in the classroom. programs and services to Test Bank questions are provided by the District and encorporated by Coaches as needed. Some teachers are not utilizing Test Bank Questions in the classroom, however, it is included in LoneStar Math. Some teachers were not able to use available test bank questions on Eduphoria.

Teachers are provided with an Instructional Focus Document to direct their Power Planning. Along with the IFD, teachers use the Vertical Alignment Document to stay on grade level material. The Year at a Glance also assists teachers in knowing what material need to be covered within the Nine Week period. Unit assessment are provided to each teacher to assess student progress by units. CSCOPE is used to create the curriculum map which will be the blueprint for the Nine Weeks lesson plans. Home School Connection Newsletters are sent home routinely to parents and is posted on our website. Newsletters are written by the principal and communicate campus news events, safety issues, attendance requirements, Carnival news, Student Led Conferences, EHAC, budget information and the like. The campus calendar is also routinely updated on our website to provide parents another mode of communicating campus news and events. Customer Service trainings have been provided annually to staff. Antwine has received many complements from parents about teachers, staff and cross guards. Antwine front office staff priorities parents and office visitors and all staff supports a welcoming and hospitable environment. Also monthly PTA meetings and performances by different grade levels are a venue to showcase Antwine talent in a positive climate. Antwine will continue to train and support teachers bi monthly on needs assessments, observations and surveys. Topics have included Daily 5, Guided Reading, Guided Math, Balance Literacy, Kagan Structures, Academic Vocabulary, Word Walls, Rigor, Learning Stations, Cscope and Eduphoria. Teachers are concerned about consistency and training of new teachers. This school year Antwine did not implement health and exercise classes for parents. Teachers, staff, and parents responded positively last year and it is recommended to bring it back to campus.
