These require ongoing evaluaion during he ime spen in he Hemaology/Hemosasis Deparmen. Compeency will be deermined a he end of he clinical experience when in he professional opinion/judgemen of he clinical insrucor(s), he conceps and basic skills on his checklis have been compleed a an % level. An % compeency level is defined as explaining each concep or performing each basic skill a an % accuracy level. The AUM MLS Faculy considers % as ha level necessary o perform as an enry-level MLS. The Tasks/Tes Procedure secion conains specific funcions which he program considers o be he minimal essenial funcions for an enry- level MLS. The suden is considered compeen when he indicaed number of es(s) have been compleed a he indicaed level of accuracy. The Hemaology/Hemosasis conen area consis of a hree semeser series of courses. Therefore, his checklis mus be compleed by he end of he semeser in which he las course in his series is aken by he suden. Failure o complee any one concep/basic skill/ask/es procedure a he required compeency level will resul in failure of his course and dismissal from he program. In he even ha compeency could no be obained for a paricular concep/basic skill/ask/es procedure hrough no faul of he clinical sie or he suden, indicaion of his should be noed on he checklis along wih a brief explanaion.
