If a student scores less than the minimum score they should complete the suggested remediation outlined on the following sheet. The first four concepts: Identifying Sounds, Counting Sounds, Segmenting and Selecting Graphemes are core spelling concepts. 12 Year 2 Suggested Remediation Suggested Remediation Spelling Concepts If a student scores poorly with any of the spelling concepts: Identifying Sounds, Counting Sounds, Segmenting and Selecting Graphemes they will benefit from the following teacher-led, whole class activities: Chants and Actions (use Let s Sing the Sounds CD, pages in the Teacher Book or Online).
