In 1992, Prof. Feuerstein was awarded the Israel Prize for Social Sciences. In 2012, he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. For more than 50 years, and in over 80 countries, Prof. Feuerstein s theories and applied systems have been implemented in both clinical and classroom settings. His theory has led to more than 2,000 scientific research studies and countless case studies with various populations. What is the Feuerstein Method? The Feuerstein method is a comprehensive approach encompassing theory and applied systems that can be implemented in a variety of clinical and educational contexts. The basic principle of the Feuerstein Method is that all human beings - regardless of their age, disability or socio-economic background - have the ability to significantly improve their learning and therefore their level of functioning. The application of the Feuerstein Method leads to the enhancement of learning potential, improvement of cognitive functioning, and enables individuals to learn how to learn.

2 IE Trainer Ms. Livia Wong Ms. Livia Wong is an experienced Speech Therapist and Audiologist. She has extensive working and teaching experience on various populations, including learning difficulties, attention deficits, Autism Spectrum Disorders and hearing-impaired. Since 2000, she specialized on learning difficulties and became the only speech therapist in Hong Kong who is certified as Davis SM Dyslexia Correction Facilitator and Davis SM Autism Approach Facilitator/Coach. In 2009, she translated and published the book Gift of Dyslexia into its Chinese version [ 天賦 x 讀寫障礙 ]. Then, she became Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment (Standard & Basic) Trainer. She hopes that more therapists, teachers and parents would be able to help individuals to breakthrough their challenges. How it works? The Instrumental Enrichment cognitive intervention program is subdivided to IE Standard (for age above 10 yrs, 14 instruments), IE Basic (for age below 10 yrs, 11 instruments) and IE Tactile (for attention deficit individuals, 8 instruments). They are a collection of non-curricular tasks taught by the teacher in-classroom, or individually in after-school enrichment settings. Each instrument teaches the user a vital cognitive strategy; to gather and apply information, to strategize, to problem solve to learn.
