Over the years, descriptions and requirements have been somewhat scattered and inconsistent across the behavioral health and CMHSP system. In general with health care you are only allowed to report one service for a given time period. While there may be other staff present, the service reported is the one that is primary as experienced by the consumer. While CMHSPs and/or providers may, for internal financial or quality purposes, track the time/cost of additional staff or services during the primary service, not all information is reported to the Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Administration within MDHHS. There are some exceptions to the general rule that were determined in 2016 by the EDIT two services workgroup. Presenters will share detailed guidance on reporting supports coordination or case management with other covered services and discuss the process of EDIT s continued efforts to increase consistency and data integrity across the state.
