Extend their knowledge of child development, child psychiatry including the recent research initiatives in these areas; 2. Acquire in-depth knowledge about the outcome research relating to the range and effects of psychological and physical treatments for emotional. Behavioural and developmental disorders of children and young people; 3. Acquire a sound understanding of research methodology and research statistics; 4. Acquire knowledge and critical awareness of quantitative and qualitative research methodology; 5. Further develop specialist skills and competency in diagnosis, formulation and planning therapeutic interventions; 6. Acquire advanced knowledge about service planning issues including those relating to the monitoring and evaluation of services. 17.
