4 Cognition & Learning Support Offer This team are here to support your staff and pupils to manage a range of learning difficulties and disabilities from The team can offer: School Improvement & Consultation Pre and post Ofsted advice and support around special and additional learning needs. Consultation clinics for Teachers, Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, Senior Leadership Teams, Parents and Governors. Advice on appropriate tracking and monitoring processes and procedures for specific groups of pupils. Targeted action planning with Senior Leadership Teams post Ofsted - including project development for vulnerable groups to raise attainment. Individual Casework Support As part of the assessment process, the learning support service can offer the following as part of casework support: Individual assessments including use of screening and diagnostic testing materials. Full individual diagnostic dyslexia assessments. Analysis of pupil needs, full assessment report and feedback to all parties including parents. Detailed advice on teaching programmes, strategies and approaches. Monitoring delivery and impact of the programme and providing support for the Teaching Assistant. Support and advice on tracking and monitoring pupil progress over time. Liaison with other outside agencies. Assessment and testing of pupils eligible for access arrangements with reporting guidance for the School Examination Officer. Focused classroom/setting observation followed by specific advice and support for Quality First Teaching. Training - Cluster & Individual Our prestigious termly SENCO update has been well attended by SENCOs for over ten years disseminates statutory duties, key new initiatives and supports strategic development. Empowering schools/settings with our Dyslexia Friendly Package of whole school improvement. Bespoke school-based INSET on national and local statutory guidance. SEN Governor training. Dyslexia workshops. Welcome to new SENCO. NQT support. A select range of staff meetings to support teaching and learning. Provision, advice and modelling of appropriate teaching programmes for pupils with dyslexia and/or other learning needs. Bespoke support and intervention programmes can be agreed to meet the needs of individual schools.

7 Inclusion and Wellbeing Support Offer The inclusion and wellbeing support team are here to help you meet all of your requirements for the Ofsted judgement personal development, behaviour and welfare. The team can offer: School Improvement & Consultation Individual Casework Support Training - Cluster & Individual Work within the social and emotional aspects of learning framework training for staff. Behavioural management policy development. PSHE advice to help you develop an effective and current curriculum, including coverage of difficult issues such as drugs, alcohol and smoking education and relationships and sex education - including preparing for statutory implementation. Behaviour audit of existing practice through our behaviour for learning observation. Professional reflection and development. Pre and post Ofsted advice and support. Anti-Bullying Pledge support and guidance. Difference and Diversity within the curriculum. Guidance on behaviour and attendance including statutory duties. Pupil participation including School Councils and peer mentoring. Guidance to ensure compliance with the Equality Act. Professional discussions/coaching centred on behaviour management to inform Quality First Teaching. Student focussed classroom observation for behaviour or English as an Additional Language (EAL) followed by specific advice and support. Group work to support all aspects of emotional literacy using a solution focused approach. One to one skills development sessions including de-escalation techniques. Functional behaviour assessments. Solution focused interventions for pupils experiencing difficulties in school. Alternative therapies e.g. drama therapy. Individual in-class support by specialist support staff. Tuition for EAL pupils. Staff wellbeing Behaviour management training for teachers and teaching assistants. Mid-day and cover supervisor behaviour management training. Parent workshops with a focus on behaviour management, attendance and ways to support at home. NQT training in classroom behaviour management - looking at both the implications for planning the teaching of those with specific behavioural needs and consideration of the learning environment. Whole school approaches to behaviour management including a Choice, Decision, Instruction framework (CDI). PSHE education training including safeguarding issues such as CSE. Whole school Prevent training. Whole class sessions relating to mental health, diversity and PSHE education. Bespoke support and intervention programmes can be agreed to meet the needs of individual schools.

8 Support Packages We will work with you to build the most appropriate support package tailored to your specific needs. Dyslexia Friendly School Award Support your pupils through inclusive practice by achieving our Dyslexia Friendly School Award. The process of preparing for the award will allow school improvement through embedding inclusive practice across the whole school. Our support package include: SEN and Inclusion Support Purchasing a package of visits allows you to plan a bespoke package of support at a reduced cost. Visits can be used across a range of activities including pupil assessment, SENCO support, EAL support, staff training (PSHE, SEN, EAL, Pupil Premium) and working with groups of pupils (PSHE). Our support package include: Entry Level Award Includes: Pre-verification support via Half day verification Full Status Award Includes: Half day support visit DF staff meeting 1 day verification and feedback 9 hours of support in 3 hour blocks half days 12 hours of support in 3 hour blocks half days Enhanced Status Award - 1,150 Includes: 2 half day support visits DF staff meeting 1 day verification and feedback Verification only Includes: Entry level: half day 300 Full status: 1 day 575 Re-verification: half day 300 Enhanced status: 1 day hours of support in 3 hour blocks - 1,200 6 half days 24 hours of support in 3 hour blocks - 1,585 8 half days Since 2015, 143 schools have been awarded Dyslexia friendly status. Feedback from schools demonstrated that this process adds value for pupils.

10 Outreach Support Outreach support provides everything you need to assess, plan, deliver and review effective intervention programmes, including professional development for staff to enable them to deliver continued support in school. Our support package includes: Outreach Support Package - 1,380 Tuition available weekly or fortnightly: 10 weeks of tuition: 1,380 (10 sessions at 138 per week) This can be delivered as 20 weeks of fortnightly Outreach Support at the same cost. Costs for individual pupils can also be negotiated. Mental Health Mental Health is a growing concern not only for children and young people but also for the adults who work with them. This flexible package is designed to support schools and settings to address this vital area. Our support package includes: 6 Hour Package or 12 Hour Package - 1,095 Includes: Staff wellbeing sessions twilight or half day Dramatherapy for individuals or small groups Pupil sessions focussed on maintaining positive Mental Health Mental health audit Behaviour & Wellbeing Our support and prevention package gives you access to the Inclusion and Wellbeing team. This includes experts in behaviour support, specialists in supporting children and young people for whom English is an Additional Language and expertise around equality. Our support package includes: Our packages can be shared across MATs or clusters and include learning support and inclusion (MEAS, health and wellbeing, learning support and in-school training). Further discounts are available for packages larger than 8 half days. 12 Hour Package - 815, 18 Hour Package - 1,200 or 24 Hour Package - 1,585 Includes: Support to identify unmet needs and find ways to work through them Functional behaviour assessments and individual pupil casework Full support for pupils with EAL Staff development sessions on a range of behaviour support & inclusion issues Prices give a 10% saving on pay as you go rates. Support will normally be delivered in 3 hour blocks unless agreed otherwise Purchased hours must be used within the 12 month period
