5 STUDENTS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SPRING REASSESSMENT TEST ADMINISTRATION STUDENTS WITH A CURRENT EL NEED Students from ALL grade levels with an AZELLA record dated during the current or previous fiscal year, and their Overall Proficiency Level is less than Proficient, and they are Eligible for EL Services for FY 2019 SEI ILLP Bilingual/Dual Language Parent Withdrawn EL ALL STUDENTS WITH AN EL NEED All students with an EL need, regardless of disabilities, are required to test annually with the Spring AZELLA Reassessment testing unless they are administered a Placement Test after January 1, The AZELLA DTC must contact the AZELLA Team at ADE when a dually enrolled (EL and SPED) student has a disability that precludes assessment in one or more domains of the AZELLA and when there are no appropriate accommodations for the affected domain(s), e.g., a student who is deaf and/or blind. 5

8 MANAGING STUDENTS IN PEARSONACCESS next AZELLA STAGES III, IV, AND V AZEDS DATA PEARSON = STUDENT REGISTRATION Remind school AZEDs administrators to upload all school enrollments/exits to AZEDs by January 7, 2019, so that your EL students can pass integrity by January 8, st Extract from AZEDs was in November for Gr. K 12 2 nd Extract from AZEDs will be in early January for Grades KG 12 only and available to view after January 22, 2019, in PearsonAccess next. 9 TRANSFER STUDENTS If student transfers to your school site, or from your school site, test administrators should contact the ELAD office: Engracia Mejia Aja Bugarin IDENTIFY PROGRAMS, SERVICES, AND ACCESSIBILITY TOOLS Part 1 The following tasks need to be completed by the District/School Test Coordinator prior to students taking the test. Register Students tab: Identify if student is Participating in Special Education and as Migrant. Identify student s EL Classification and current EL Services. Manage Students tab: Identify non embedded accommodations for computer based testing. Identify visual assistance tools. The above are available in TestNav for students to use; however, the management aspect in PearsonAccess next is to identify these tools for students with a current IEP or 504 Plan that indicates the student is allowed to use the tools, if needed. Every student will have his or her own Testing Ticket. A Session is a group of students by school and grade level assigned to a Stage test. A Unit is a sub test domain (i.e., Listening, Reading, Writing Part 1, Writing Part 2, and Speaking). 14

16 Testing Tickets are secure test materials. Testing Tickets are distributed and collected every day for each Section. Students may NOT leave the testing room with their Test Ticket. 17 TESTING STUDENT TESTS Students who have been pre registered for a Spring Reassessment Test are listed here. Stages I and II show Type as Paper. Stages III, IV, and V show Type as Online. TESTING SESSIONS TESTING STUDENTS IN SESSIONS Under the Sessions List, the Test Administrator may select one of the Sessions listed to show the list of students that have been assigned to that Session. The Combined View will show all of the students for the Sessions listed below the Combined View title. If there will be more than one grade level testing at the same time in the testing room, then the Combined View will need to be used in order for the Test Administrator to start the test for these students. 17
