External Seating There is currently no seating with arm rests adjacent to the back entrance. Lighting Is there adequate lighting in poor light? Provide ination on Accessibility for visitors on Website, when taking telephone calls as standard. Provide ination on site accessibility in School Prospectus. Ination on incline should be provided in ination for visitors prior to visit. Incline should be indicated with line paint for visually impaired. The designated accessible parking should be clearly remarked out at least 2.4m wide x 4.8m long plus a 1.2m side transfer zone at the side and end of the bay. Implement a management procedure to ensure the use of the accessible parking bay is monitored regularly to limit misuse by non-disabled motorists. Assistance Signage incl. 5 Accessibility: to Learning The School needs to make reasonable adjustments to ensure the curriculum and learning opportunities are accessible to all pupils. Sight- for blind and partially sighted pupils Hearing- for deaf pupils or those with hearing impairments Management, SENCo and class teachers to ensure pupils have full accessibility to braille versions of texts, classroom and school signage. visual impairments have full access to additional resources eg. Large print texts- including adapted test papers, magnifiers, overlays, additional non-reflective lighting, tinted paper, matt laminated signage in contrasting easy-read fonts. auditory impairments have full access to classroom hearing loops, working hearing aids with spare batteries kept in school, that staff member is available with training in British sign language. For pupils with minor or temporary hearing impairments, teachers to ensure that pupils sit near class teacher and that instructions are repeated clearly with use of Communicate in Print symbol cards, modelled instructions given.
