Thank Him for the work of eternal salvation done by His Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Spend time with Him in prayer. Tell Him how much you love Him. Fire Drills Please know that this time of year, as required by law, our students will be practicing safe behaviors in case of an emergency. Dates are posted on the school website. Students are taken outside for fire drills, so please dress students for drills that require them to be removed from the school building during various weather conditions. Pajama Day Wednesday, October 31, break the dress code by wearing your pajamas to school. This will also be our packing party day for preparing our Operation Christmas Child boxes to be shipped. A whole school packing party will take place at the south campus. Concordia Gift Card Scrip Purchase Station Make Concordia school office your gift card destination for purchasing gift cards for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas gifts and more. The Kits will be available for Pickup for one day only currently scheduled to arrive Oct. 25th. They must be picked up by end of school day. Sorry but we don t have refrigerated storage. So please be sure to mark your Calendars so that you are able to pick your orders up on that date. Thank you. Concordia will be closed on October 19th. This will be an special in-service work day for the teachers. On October 13th the Girls Volleyball (VAR. ONLY) CTK, Southgate will be held. Time to be Determined. So keep watch for more from the Coach and/or the Athletic Director, Mr. Hoeft. On October 16 Both Concordia Soccer and Volleyball Varsity ONLY) teams will be participating in Away games vs. St. Matthew s, Walled Lake at 4:00 pm. We will be collecting bottles and cans for the month of October, to help support the Concordia athletics program. There will be bins located outside both campus locations during the bottle drive. Please ask family, friends, church members, and neighbors to donate their returnables for CLS athletics!! Any questions or for pick up of large donations please contact Dave ( ) or Jackie Fontaine ( ) Grades 5-8: October 22nd November 5th we will be having our Wojo Fundraiser. This is the time when we will be collecting orders for our Christmas Wreaths, Ropes, Grave blankets and Poinsettias, just to name a few. So keep your eyes open for those order forms. They will be coming home with your child (ren) shortly. BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION: Thank you to all those that bring in your Box Top points. A special thank you to Sandy Bryer that clips, trims, pastes the little squares containing points on the submission form and makes sure that they get sent to General Mills. General Mills then turns those points into money for Concordia Lutheran School. Please look at all the products that you use to see if there are points to clip and bring to school. 3 ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT SOUGHT St. Paul's, Farmington Hills is looking for a personable and efficient fulltime office assistant. Hours are 7:30 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday during the school year and 8 a.m. to noon during the summer. Microsoft Office proficiency, organizational skills, as well as an ability to work with school children and teachers is essential.
