We present before you the third issue of the newsletter for the session The news letter is a medium to connect with all the stakeholders of the vidyalaya. Through the newsletter it would be our endeavour to bring forth the news and activities report of the school. It also provides a platform to the students to explore and showcase their writing skills through their contributions. 2 Chinmaya Jyoti Yatra (4 th to 6 th October 2015) The enlightening Yatra s cavalcade arrived at NTPC Unchahar on 4 th October 2015 at 8.30 p.m. After reaching the school, the Padukas were carried in and seated by The Group General Manager of NTPC Unchahar Shri Rakesh Samuel after Purna Kumbhakam. His Holiness Swami Chidrupanandaji and other dignitaries were escorted by the school s Principal Shri A.K.Tiwary. The next morning, 5 th October 2015, there was Paduka Puja at 7.00 a.m. A grand procession was taken out by the students and it went around the township with the band of Saraswati Vidya Mandir accompanied by our students. Many people showered their offerings on the way. At p.m., Swami Chidrupanandaji addressed the children in DAV Auditorium. The students also enjoyed a 3D animation show in the Yagnatarium. In the evening, on 5 th October 2015, a cultural bonanza was organized. The auspicious evening had his Holiness Swami Chidrupanandaji, Shri Rakesh Samuel (Group General Manager), Smt. Pratima Samuel, First lady of NTPC Unchahar, Shri Sanjay Madan, General Manager (Project), Shri L.D.Sahoo General Manager (O&M) gracing it. H.H.Swami Chinmayanandaji s talk on Service Before Self was also shown to the audience present in the auditorium. The Yatra left for Lucknow on 6 th October 2015 after leaving the students, staff and residents of NTPC Unchahar touched, illuminated, revived and rejuventated.

6 Inter House Music Comp III-V Inter house group singing competition (classes III-V) was organized on 5 th November The theme of the event was patriotic and around 10 students from each house participated in the event. The criteria of the event were melody, expression, presentation and rhythm. The judges in this event were Mrs. Pooja Mishra, Mr. Anup Kr. Srivastava and Mrs. Archana Chaudhary. The chief guest of this event was our Principal Sir Mr. A.K.Tiwary. INTER HOUSE GROUP DANCE COMPETITION III V Event was organized on Classes III-V participated in the competition. The team of the competition was folk, religious, weather songs and around thirty two students participated in the event. There were two judges in that competition Mrs. Amita Chandra & Mrs. Anku Singh and the chief guest were our Principal Sir and Academic Coordinator. INTER HOUSE SOLO DANCE COMPETITION VI-VIII Event was organized on classes VI TO VIII participated in the competition. The theme of the competition was patriotic & religious and around eight students participated in the event. There were two judges in that competition Mrs. Kalpana Sharma, Mrs. Sunita Yadav & the chief guest was our Principal Sir and Academic Coordinator.

7 INTER HOUSE DANCE COMPETITION PREP II Event was organized on classes Prep-II has participated in the competition. The team of the competition was freestyle and around twenty students participated in the event. 14 Annual Sports Meet 8 th & 9 th December 2015 The event was organized in the NTPC stadium in our township. The opening ceremony was held on The chief guest Shri Rakesh Samuel arrived at the venue at a.m. After the inspection of contingents marching, he hoisted the School Flag. All the four houses displayed their marching skills. The meet was declared open by the Chief Guest. The students participated in various events enthusiastically. They were determined to excel. The closing ceremony had many cultural events. The students of classes I-III performed free hand exercises. The audience in the stadium swayed with the Zumba Dancers. They relished watching Exercises done using Dumbbells and wands, Aerobics by students of Classes IV and V and Mass Demonstration by senior boys. The event ended with prize distribution and announcement of overall winners. Sincerity House lifted the trophy for the second consecutive time.

15 Science Exhibition :30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. Inauguration by Mr. Rakesh Samuel, GGM, NTPC, Unchahar by lighting the lamp and declaring the Exhibition open. Other GMs and AGMs higher officials along with parents witnessed it. Each and every spot was visited, appreciated and cross questioned by the visitor very enthusiastically. All the visitors were surprised and appreciated the students efforts. Students were actively demonstrated their project. Positive feedback was obtained through visitor s book. Excellent remarks were given by visitors. Exhibition ended with great pomp and show with Swamiji s blessing. Geeta Chanting Competition (2015) 04 th Nov. 2015, 9.00 to a.m. The event was conducted in three groups. Sub junior (III to V), Junior (VI to VIII) and Senior (IX to XI) groups participated in this competition. Shrimad Bhagvad Geeta Ch. 15 (Purushottam Yoga) was reflected by chanting Competition. Principal, SVM Dr.Vindhya Vasini Prasad Tripathi, Mrs. Neelam Jaiswal, Sanskrit Teacher, DAV Public School and Mr. Lalji Shukla, Sanskrit Teacher, CV were the judges. The event concluded with fine impact on students.
