Giridhar, Deputy Director General, Solar Radiation Resource Assessment, National Institute of Wind Energy on at the college premises. The bi-monthly newsletter, Electrika was released by the Chief Guest and it was received by the Principal, Dr. C. C. Christopher. The student office bearers for the academic were announced by the convenor Dr. Pranati Katyal, Professor/. SYMPOSIUM: The Electrical and Electronics Department of Munoth Jain successfully organized an Inter Collegiate, Synchron 16 on under the banner of the Association of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (A-2016). Mr. Srinivasan Jagadeeshan, Director-, Aricent Technologies, Chennai, was the chief guest for the occasion. Dr. Pranati Katyal, convener of the association, delivered the welcome address to the august gathering. The Principal, Dr. C. Chandrasekar Christopher addressed the gathering and also felicitated the chief guest. The HOD, Mr.N.Gnanasekaran, introduced the chief guest to the gathering and. The Chief Guest delivered the inaugural address of the Day. The technical fest witnessed around 200 participants battling it out to bag top honors in every event. The Prizes worth Rs. 35,000/- were distributed to the winning contestant and participation certificates were distributed to the participants by the Mr.N.Gnanasekaran, Associate Professor & HOD/ and Prof. O. Rajanayagam, Professor/ respectively. 1

The topic of the lecture was Electric Energy Generation, Utilization & Conservation. A Guest lecture was organised for the students on The lecture was given by Dr. S. S. 3 Seminar on Role of Power Electronics in Renewable Energy Systems : One day Seminar on Role of Power Electronics in Renewable Energy Systems was conducted by the Department of Electrical and Electronics of Misrimal Navajee Munoth Jain, Thorapakkam, Chennai -97 on at the AC Seminar Hall of the college. The Convener Dr.Pranati Katyal, Professor delivered the welcome address. The Head of the Department Professor.N.Gnanasekaran introduced the chief guest. Dr.P.Somasundaram, Associate Professor, of engineering, Guindy, Anna University inaugurated the seminar. Eminent Resource Persons from Academia and industry delivered lectures on Renewable Energy Systems. Principal Dr.C.C.Christopher presided over the function and gave the important features of non conventional energy sources.
