TABLE TENNIS (Singles) JUNIOR P7, S1 INTERMEDIATE S2, S3 SENIOR S4, S5, S6 (if at School) BADMINTON (Singles) JUNIOR P7, S1, S2 SENIOR S3, S4, S5, S6 (if at School) CROSS COUNTRY JUNIOR 11, 12, 13 INTERMEDIATE 14, 15 SENIOR 16, 17, 18 NB Ages for Cross Country are taken as on the date of the Scottish Championships which are to be held on 16 March Staff Sergeants can participate in the Cross Country Competition providing they are 18 on the date of the Scottish Championships. Battalion Sports Partick District are holding their Sports on Monday 8 th October and have invited other Companies from around the Battalion to take part. The Swimming Gala will take place in the second half of the session, details will follow. Please complete and return the attached entry sheets as required, noting for which events you have entered. There is considerable work and planning undertaken by the organisers and it is important that forms are returned by the due entry dates. 3 CROSS COUNTRY Saturday 24 November First Race am Bellahouston Park (Venue for changing facilities will be confirmed prior to the event.) Monday 19 Nov AGES: JUNIOR 11, 12, 13 INTERMEDIATE 14, 15 SENIOR 16, 17, 18 Age is on date of Scottish Cross Country Championships 16 March 2019 Boys may only run in the event corresponding to their age. Staff Sergeants may take part. ENTRIES Prior to the event the Battalion Office will issue the following to each Company having made an entry: i Copies of the Race Entry for each age group of the Championship entered: these forms should be taken to the Entry Stewards at the event. ii A copy of the map of the Course iii Instructions regarding the e`vent Teams consist of a maximum of 5 Boys, the first three of whom count in the team competition. Please use the Entry Form below. The organising committee are able to make up joint teams on the day of the event, so you do not need a full team to take part. The first seven in each event will be chosen to represent Glasgow Battalion in the Scottish Cross Country Championships. NB This is a major event whose success depends very much on having sufficient people to man the various aspects of the event. This covers Marshals on the course, Declaration Stewards and Results Stewards. Names of persons willing to offer their services should be written in the appropriate place on the Company Entry Form.
