2 Health Care Nethrajyothi: 13 eye camps were organized through Nethra Jyothi mobile eye care van during the month in villages of Visakhapatnam District individuals were tested and free cataract surgeries were performed on 71 eligible beneficiaries. Eye camp was organized at ZPH School, Islampeta, a surrounding village of the plant. The eye camp organized in association with Lions Club Ukkunagaram was inaugurated by Shri Kishore Chandra Das, Director (Personnel). 73 students were benefitted from the eye camp. DESIRE Society is one of the organizations functioning with the objective of health development and well-being of children abandoned and orphaned by HIV/AIDS by providing Institutional Care Homes (ICH). To be an enabler in this noble cause, RINL-CSR has joined hands with Desire Society in extending the support to these hapless children by providing transport facility in the form of a TATA Winger Van for taking these children to various schools & Hospitals. Sri P Madhusudan, (CMD), RINL handed over the van to the Society on 2nd October 2017.

3 A General Medical camp was organized at Bongaram, a tribal village in Pedabayalu Mandal, Visakhapatnam District through Visteel Mahila Samithi an extended arm of RINL CSR. A team of doctors comprising of specialists in the fields of General Medicine, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, Gynecology, carried out health check-ups and issued medicines free of cost to around 500 (Five hundred) villagers. Education Shiksha : 1750 children belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families from the surrounding villages of Plant & Mines are being provided with free education through the above project. Pathashala Ki Aabharanam : With a view to address the infrastructural deficit in the Schools, RINL has taken up a project for providing three seater dual desks to Government Schools. 90 (Ninety) three seater dual desks have been provided to ZPH School, O V Peta, and Srikakulam District for utilization. The dual desks are manufactured through Govt. ITI, Gajuwaka which also provides opportunity to the students to gain hands-on experience.

4 Skill Development Saksham: To equip the unemployed youth with skills which can facilitate self-employment as well as undertake employment, Vocational training programmes in various trades like Mobile repairing, Arya Works, LMV driving, House Wiring, Cutting & Tailoring, Blouse Designing and Fabric Painting has been taken up. The project will benefit 320 (Three hundred and twenty) youths belonging to the four RH colonies and other surrounding villages of the Plant, tribal areas of Visakhapatnam District and Garbham Mines area of RINL. The identification of the beneficiaries has been completed. Peripheral Development Roof sheeting work for damaged houses in slum areas of Greater Visakha Municipal Corporation Visakhapatnam has been taken up through the funds provided by NMDC. Roof sheeting work in 31 wards is completed and the work is in progress in 10 wards. With a view to ensure the comprehensive development of Chepulapada, a fisherman village near Bheemili, Visakhapatnam, RINL has taken up a project for providing improvement to the basic infrastructure facilities in the village. Under the above project, Under Ground Drainage (UGD) and BT Road works have been taken up through Panchayat Raj, Government of AP.

5 Sanitation Contribution to Swachh Bharat Kosh : RINL has contributed an amount of Rs.50 lakhs to Swachh Bharat Kosh set up by Govt. of India with a view to further strengthening the Swachh Bharat mission for achieving the objective of a Clean India by The cheque was handed over to Chief Controller of Accounts, Ministry of Finance, New Delhi by ED(L), RINL on Swachh Bharat Swachh Bharat activities were carried out in various Departments of VSP during the Month. 8 Safai Plant Design (PD) Department Safai Capital Repair Group (CRG) Safai Technical Services Dept Swachhta Hi Seva : In line with the Prime Minister s call, a mega Swachhta campaign was organized in RINL from 15 th Sep to 2 nd Oct 2017 with a view to intensify the focus for creating a clean & safe environment across the plant. The campaign concluded on 2 nd October 2017 with Swachh Gandhi Jayanthi Celebrations & Mega Cleanliness drive. During the function Swachhta Puraskars were awarded to 10 departments with a view to encourage their commendable work in keeping the shop floors and surrounding premises clean.

10 Special Drive in Offices: In line with the directives of Govt. of India, a Special Drive aimed at making the offices clean & tidy before Diwali was observed in RINL from 16 th to 20 th October The drive witnessed overwhelming response from the employees who actively participated in the campaign to ensure a neat and tidy working environment in their respective offices. Bala Swachhta Jagruthi: A Sanitation awareness programmes was conducted at ZPH School Desapatrunipalem, Visakhapatnam district, wherein the importance of personal hygiene cleanliness and was explained. Around 30 children were covered in the above programme. Rashtriya Ekta Divas: Observed Rashtriya Ekta Divas and organized Ekta Pledge in School & communities in Desapatrunipalem & Bonangi, peripheral villages of the plant Bonangi Village ZPHS Islampeta ***
