2 Every year the PE leaders evaluate PE and devise an action plan as to what needs to be achieved throughout the year to ensure the delivery of PE progresses. These are some of the action plan points. To Achieve The Gold Kitemark award To implement a rowing scheme from year 4 to year 6 To purchase new resources To assess and improve children s fitness levels

4 We have a specialist company come into school on a weekly basis to support and improve our teaching of P.E. 1 member of staff from each year group will have 1 term of support from the coach. 15 At Sneyd Green, we have 10 rowing machines. We timetable that year 4, 5 and 6 all have a term s worth of sessions using the rowing machines in their P.e slot. We also have a weekly fun rowing club, and our rowing team practise once a week The benefits of using the rowing machines are - Improves self esteem Improves fitness Reduces obesity They can be used cross curricular
16 Some of our year 6 children represented our school in a Laser Tag competition. This is a new event, the children had never experienced it before, and they were brilliant. Our boys team won all their games and have a place in the finals, and our girls team came 3rd.
17 Some of our children represented our school in a Fencing competition. We have had a fencing club at lunch time in preparation for the competition. Team A came 2 nd Team B came 3 rd James Dawes was the individual winner, well done.
18 Some of our children represented our school in a Wheel Chair Basketball. This was organised by Premier Sports. A massive well done to our team who came 1 st! The tea was: Lauren, Adam, Daniel and Temple.

20 At the end of every term, every class in each year group competes against each other in a sporting event to find a year group winner. This ensures that all children partake in competitive sport at least 3 times a year and is also a lot of fun!
