5 Dear Alumni /ae, Christmas greetings Greetings! Christmas Carols Another year has gone by. Our togetherness as the Alumni of Loyola College is becoming stronger and stronger. At the beginning of the academic year we were able to help the College to buy a few necessary things, including a battery car to be used for transportation to the physically challenged students. There are so many such students studying in our College. Most of the materials were supplied to improve the quality of the college. I appreciate very much the generous contribution of the alumni. The Alumni day was celebrated in a grand manner on 2 nd of October There were so many old students of the College from 1946 to 2014 as well as their family members. I already sent you a report of the event and the Christmas get together of the family members of the Loyola Alumni Association executive committee took place on 13 th December It was a time of joyful fellowship and I am sending a few photographs of the function. 6 We have also set up a Souvenir Stall with the variety of articles with special emphasis on Loyola College. You are most welcome to visit the stall. It is located in the alumni association office 1 st floor of J.D. Block. Invitees We are looking forward to the LOHO meeting to be held on the 2 nd, 3 rd and 4 th of the January 2015 at Kodaikanal. 7 Dear Alumni/ae, Greetings! Wish you happy Pongal! We are happy to share information about an important event that happened at KodaiKanal, namely 13 th Annual Get-together of LOHO (Loyola Hostellers Association). The meeting took place during 2 nd 3 rd & 4 th of January 2015 at KodaiKanal in which 430 members participated (alumni, their wives and children). It was a progrmme filled with fun and joy. At the same time, the meet served the purpose of bonding and participating as the alumni of Loyola College. On 2 nd of January Loho Alumni Members & Family Rev. Dr. G. Joseph Antony Samy S.J. Principal, Loyola College addressed the gathering during the inaugural function. He spoke about the proposed developments of Loyola College, research, improvement of discipline, College Of Excellence status and further he made a fervent appeal to them collaborate with the hostel project.

8 On 3 rd of the January Rev. Fr. A.M. Francis Jayapathy, S.J. Rector of Loyola College spoke to the Alumni about the proposed developments of Loyola Campus including the building of the Hostel Blocks as a top priority. The response was very enthusiastic and encouraging. On the 4 th of January Rev. Dr. S. Xavier Alphonse, S.J. Director of Loyola Alumni Association moderated the business session. During that instant, he appealed to the alumni on the bonding and relationship, participation of alumni in the Hostel Project. He suggested that their presence may be felt in future too by inscribing their names in each of the hostel rooms for which they make the contribution, as we have done in the case of the School of Commerce & Economics.
