1 STUDENT DRESS CODE Uniforms: Flynn & O Hara Uniforms 927 Taylor Avenue Towson, MD STUDENT DRESS CODE AND UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS Students must wear the complete uniform each day. All shirts must be worn tucked inside pants, shorts, skorts, and skirts. All uniforms should be clean, in good repair and tagged with student s name. Students should look neat and uniforms should be worn with pride. CHANGES & EXPECTATIONS The following MUST be purchased from Flynn & O Hara Uniforms (927 Taylor Avenue, Towson, MD Unisex hunter green polo shirt with the St. Michael s School logo (both short sleeve and long sleeve) All 4 pieces of the gym uniform with the St. Michael s screen print (tee-shirt, shorts, sweatshirt, sweatpants) Girls green & white plaid split-front jumper (Grades K 5) Girls / Ladies green & white plaid any style skirt or skort (Grades 6 8) This includes 4-kick pleat skirt #34-75, and 2 panel skort # Any of the girls/ ladies green SMS monogrammed sweaters Young mens navy/red/green/yellow striped tie (Grades 6 8 St. Michael the Archangel School will continue to use plaid jumpers, plaid skirts, school logoed polo shirts and sweaters, and screen printed gym uniforms from Flynn & O Hara. The khaki skort is an alternative to khaki shorts for young ladies and would only be worn at the seasonal times the shorts are being worn. The navy polo shirts and navy pants will no longer be part of our school uniform. The shorts must be twill khaki-colored walking shorts (with no less than an 8 inseam), pleated or non-pleated for both boys and girls. The shorts are not allowed to be snug, formfitting, and skinny -fits. They must look like a traditional uniform short. The slacks must be a twill khaki-colored pant of a traditional fit. Leggings, jean-style with pockets as such, and capris are not acceptable as part of our school uniform. Black or brown belts should be worn with all shorts and slacks. Proper athletic socks should be worn with tennis shoes. Knee-length socks (white or dark green in color) are worn with Sperry s or Saddle shoes when wearing the skirt or jumper. 3 Girls / Ladies Green Cardigan Navy/Red/Green/Yellow V-neck & Crew Neck are acceptable choices Striped Tie, Grades 6-8 Sweaters will have the school monogram SUMMER UNIFORMS Summer uniforms may be worn from the opening day of school through October 19th and during the months of May and June. All shorts must be worn with a black or a brown belt. Boys Pre-K 3 & 4: Gym uniform everyday. Gym shorts with the gym tee shirt, athletic socks and tennis shoes

Gym shorts with the gym tee shirt, athletic socks and tennis shoes Kindergarten: Khaki skort OR khaki walking shorts (not less than an 8 inseam ) Plaid jumper with white button down blouse (Peter Pan collar) 1 st Grade through 5 th Grade: Khaki skort OR khaki walking shorts (not less than an 8 inseam) are worn with the shorts and skort Plaid jumper with white button down blouse (Peter Pan collar) Saddle oxfords with white or dark green knee socks are worn with the jumper 6 th Grade through 8 th Grade: Khaki skort OR khaki walking shorts (not less than an 8 inseam) are worn with either the shorts or skort Plaid skirt OR plaid skort with the white button down blouse (pointed traditional collar) Sperry s or saddle oxford should be worn with the skort or skirts WINTER UNIFORMS All pants must be worn with a brown or black belt. Kindergarten: Plaid jumper with a Peter-Pan collared blouse Green SMS sweater (pullover or cardigan) Khaki slacks may be worn in place of the skirt with the same blouse and sweater Long sleeve SMS polo shirt. 1 st Grade through 5 th Grade: Plaid jumper with a Peter-Pan collared blouse Green SMS sweater (pullover or cardigan) Khaki slacks may be worn in place of the skirt with the same blouse and sweater Long sleeve SMS polo shirt. Because each piece will be screen printed with our school logo, they must be purchased from Flynn & O Hara. The gym uniform is worn with tennis shoes and athletic socks. In this time of transition, the older style will be acceptable to wear until it s outgrown. Please replace with the new uniform design. Each day will have a theme and the students will dress according to that theme. Guidelines for each day will be printed in the newsletter prior to that tag day.
