1 Bus Parking: HBF Stadium: Following are the procedures, as requested by HBF Stadium, for bus arrangements at the A, B, C, D E, F, G, H & I Division Carnivals. It is essential that schools provide this information to their bus company/drivers and supervising staff so the correct procedures are adhered to. DROP OFF: In the morning all buses will enter from Stephenson Ave, through HBF Stadium s main car park and drop the students off at the back/eastern side of HBF Stadium in the AJ Pavilion parking area at UWA Sports Park (on McGillivray Road). Venues West staff will then direct students to cross McGillivray Road and enter the Aquatic center via a back gate near RLSS building. Parents dropping off students are to enter off Stephenson Ave and turn left at the roundabout and use the drop off area allocated. Parents are reminded not to park in the car isles and obstruct traffic when dropping off. Parents attending the carnival are to access the Aquatic Centre at the front/main entrance (off Stephenson Ave) and parents are to park in the main HBF Stadium car park. After drop off in the morning buses then proceed to Brockway Road via McGillivray Road. Bus Parking: Smaller coaster buses (30 seats and under) may park in carpark 2 at the front of HBF Stadium if they need to stay for the duration of the event. All large buses (over 30 seats) may not park at the venue for the duration and are asked to park at either Perry Lakes or City Beach. The exception being Large buses (over 30 seats) that are being driven by school teaching staff, these may be parked in carpark 2 at the front of HBF Stadium. In these cases the school must advise the ACC in advance that they will need parking on site at HBF Stadium and the ACC will advise Venues West. Small buses/mini vans (20 seats and under) that can fit in a standard car bay may park in the main HBF Stadium car parking areas. No buses (small or large) are to remain parked in the AJ Pavilion parking area at UWA Sports Park for the duration of the carnival. PICK UP: All Divisions A-I On pick up in the afternoon, buses will enter from Stephenson Ave, through HBF Stadium s car park and park in their designated bays in the UWA Sports Park (AJ Pavilion) car park on McGillivray Road (see map 1 below). Students will exit HBF Stadium at rear gate and an official will be on hand to direct the students to cross McGillivray Road and proceed to the bus parking adjacent to the AJ Pavilion. Buses MUST be ready to collect students in the correct order as listed below and remain at the AJ Pavilion area until their students board the bus. Please ask your bus company NOT TO STAND waiting for students in McGillivray Road; they MUST wait in the car park adjacent to the AJ Pavilion. ACC officials with radio link will advise the announcer inside the facility when each school bus is in place and schools will then be asked to exit the facility in that order. If school buses are not in the correct order then the officials will ask the announcer to direct another school to exit the facility in their place. The order should be as listed below. Buses should be parked and ready to exit by: 2.00pm (A & B Div) 1.45pm (C - F Div) 1.00pm (G - I Div) Buses should collect students in the following pick up order. Students will exit the pool in this order and bus order must correspond to the pickup order. Country schools have first exit privileges due to travel, remaining exit order is as per seating areas. No buses are to remain parked in the AJ Pavilion parking area at UWA Sports Park for the duration of the carnival. Parent Pick Up: When picking up, Parents are asked to find a parking bay and wait for their child. Parents are reminded not to park in the car isles and obstruct traffic when picking up. 17
