1 The bright sunshine! The dawn of marked the launch of year long activities in our bank, thoughtfully christened as Year of Sunshine. With passionate initiatives of Federals unfurling across the length and breadth of our nation, the day sensed the spirit of togetherness in every careful activity that was chalked out to serve the underprivileged. As our theme Year of Sunshine goes, to empower the underprivileged youth and care for senior citizens, the main activities of many of the branches were co-related with this. Federal Bank celebrated its 68 th Founders Day on 18 th October The day s program was marked by countrywide CSR initiatives in reverence to the vision of the bank s founder, Late Shri K P Hormis. A great visionary and inspiring leader, he laid the foundations of our Bank years back with one purpose in mind - Banking, meant, to serve. Scores of CSR activities which include supply of needy articles to home for elderly, home for the destitute and needy kids, leprosy home, providing food for destitute, helping blind schools with necessary assistance, conducting medical camps for the needy, blood donation camps, sponsoring ambulances to pain and palliative clinics and so on. The volume of material assistance planned by many regions and branches has exceeded the scope of the fund allotted to them which means that voluntary donations have poured in liberally from generous Federals. The day at Head Office witnessed an array of activities which started with our MD & CEO garlanding the bust of our beloved founder Late Shri K P Hormis, at the atrium of our Corporate Office amidst a gathering of all the employees. Addressing the entire Federals on the occasion, our MD & CEO Shri. Shyam Srinivasan reiterated our responsibility as a Corporate to give back to the society we live in. He added that as a respectful tribute to our visionary founder, We, Federals should carry forward this message through our passionate activities for the needy. A cyclothon of Federals, flagged off by our MD & CEO, Shri Shyam Srinivasan from Mookannoor, the birth place of our beloved founder reached the Corporate Office of the bank by 5 PM. The daylong celebration was concluded by honoring the inmates of an elderly home and kids from a needy home by handing out gifts to them. Let us not wipe off the smiles on the faces of our elders. They deserve our attention, presence, care and love. It is true if not for them, we won t be here! Here, let us have a glimpse of passionate and proud moments from some our branches and offices across the country as we observed Founders Day in the most befitting way!
2 Founder s Day 2013 A journey through the branches and offices Founder s Day at Laxmi Towers, BKC, Mumbai The team visited Tata Memorial Hospital at Parel and distributed bed sheets and blankets to the cancer patients in the general ward and to those patients and their relatives who were staying in the pavements around the hospital. Founder s Day at New Delhi/Hauz Khas The team donated a donated a Tea/Coffee/Soup vending machine.
3 Founder s Day at Branch Allahabad Team distributed blankets to the downtrodden of the society. Founder s Day at Branch New Delhi/ Dwarka. Team cut cake & donated ceiling fans to Prerna Niketan Sangh, Dwarka, where around 47 physically challenged children from the lower strata of society are given boarding, lodging, education and free medical aid. Founder's Day at Branch Edappal The team honoured an elderly customer of the branch, visiting his house.
4 Founder's Day at Branch Elanthoor The team donated a double door refrigerator to Mar Gregorious Santhi Sadanam, a home for the elderly. Founder s Day at Branch Chirayinkeezh The team donated a wheel chair to Govt. Taluk Hospital, Chirayinkeezh.
5 Founders Day at Branch Irinjalakuda The team donated Rs /- to Mother Sr. Anecia for the welfare of old aged women inmates of Santhi Sadanam, Irinjalakuda. Founders Day at Surat Regional Office The team visited Missionaries of Charity founded by Mother Teresa and donated Rs. 25,000 towards charity. Founder s Day at Branch Mannancherry

The team visited Annal Illam; a home for nearly 30 destitute women aged between 70 years to 100 years and donated ceiling fans, emergency lamps and tube light fittings.
14 Founder s Day at Branch Kidangara Team Kidangara visited " Snehatheeram", Kidangara an Old Age Home and supplied plastic mats and other necessary items for the inmates Founder s Day at Branch Bhopal Team contributed amount for purchasing benches and desks at Jyothis Special School, Patel Nagar, Bhopal, a special school for mentally and physically challenged students. Founder s Day at Hyderabad Region The team distributed foot wears to 60 inmates of Thara, and organisation that take care of youngsters who are in need of care and protection. and also donated a solar inverter of 1KV to the institution.
