1 HETHERSETT OLD HALL SCHOOL UNIFORM All pupils are to wear our school uniform. All items indicated must be purchased from the school uniform shop located on the school site, which is run by the school. There are some items that may be purchased from stores such as John Lewis or Marks and Spencer. The school uniform shop sells brand new regulation items of uniform and other general uniform. The shop also sells second hand uniform managed by the Parents Association. Second Hand Uniform Items A good selection of second hand clothing is available from the School Uniform Shop. Only current school uniform, as per the latest uniform list, may be left either in the shop, when open, or at the School Office. If you have any items to sell, please ensure that they are freshly laundered, in good condition and clearly named. Name tapes must be removed. Pricing for second hand items is set by the shop staff and the proceeds divided 50% to the parent and 50% to school. Cheques are issued twice a year. Please note that any item unsold after two years becomes the property of the school. Any uniform not considered in good enough condition to sell, or not as per the latest uniform list, is passed onto a worthy charity. Please also note that we are unable to exchange or refund any item of second hand uniform purchased. Winter Uniform may be worn from the start of the Autumn term through to the end of the Spring term. However, if the weather at the beginning of the Autumn term is pleasant, pupils can wear their summer uniform. Summer Uniform may be worn from the beginning of the summer term, and must be worn from the first exeat weekend after Easter. Uniform Shop Opening Hours The shop is open every Thursday morning in term-time, 8.30am 9.30am. It is also open from 8.30am 4pm on one day each month. The date is published in the calendar that your daughter or son brings home at the beginning of each term. Payment Options You can pay for uniform items by cash, cheque, debit or credit cards. 2 Nursery and Lower Prep All items of uniform must be named clearly, including underwear, socks tights and gloves Please sew a six-inch loop of distinctive ribbon or elastic on the jogging top and trousers, jumper and or cardigan and coat, so that your child can be responsible for hanging their own clothes on their peg. Any hair ties or hair bands should be black or navy blue. Upper Prep All items of uniform must be named clearly, including underwear, socks tights and gloves Any hair ties or hair bands should be black or navy blue. Nail varnish and make-up are not allowed. Jewellery (except for a watch, confirmation chain, necklace with small cross or plain gold, or silver ear studs) is not allowed. You will need a Padlock with key for lockers (not the very smallest size), with a named spare key which will be kept in the PE Department. Padlocks are available from the PE department.
