1 ENROLMENT FOR PRIMARY EDUCATION ACADEMIC YEAR Londres, 16 de junio de 2017 Dear Parents: This registration form is exclusively aimed to new entry students that have been admitted after the pre-registration process, or students that are already enrolled in the centre that meets all the requirements for the renewal of the registration. The registration period will take place from June 22 nd to July 7 th 2017 for new students, and from the 3 rd to 14 th of July for students that are already enrolled at the center. To formalize the registration you must complete this form and provide the requested documents. You can leave them at the school office (see the opening times on the website) or by postal mail. Registrations will not be accepted by e- mail or fax. Canteen Service: The canteen runs from 12:15 to 13:25 with the possibility of contracting this service or bringing a "packed lunch" from home. TUITION FEES: REDUCTIONS AND EXEMPTIONS Families with three or more children enrolled in the school will benefit from a reduction of 25% for the second enrolled sibling, 50% for the third sibling and 75% for the next siblings. ENROLMENT FEES: - Families with 3 children enrolled in the school will benefit from a 50% reduction for each child, and families with more than three children enrolled in the same center will enjoy a 100% exemption.

5 PROTOCOL OF COMMINMENT FROM THE PARENTS WITH THE MAIN OPERATING STANDARDS OF THE VICENTE CAÑADA BLANCH The following document has been approved by the School Council of the IE Vicente Cañada Blanch and summarizes the essential aspects of the School Rules and the policies for Safety and Hygiene, Anti-bullying, and The Protection of Minors (available on the school website: under Docs. Institucionales). Its main aim is to remind you that all policies must be observed by the entire school community. It is therefore important that you read this statement carefully so that we can be sure you fully accept the system of education, and observe the norms of conduct of this school. 1. CURRICULUM. Cañada Blanch Spanish School is part of the network of education establishments of the Spanish State abroad regulated by the Organic Law of Education and by specific laws applicable only to establishments with these characteristics. By choosing to send your child to this school voluntarily, you are agreeing to the curriculum as approved by the School Council which is published on the school website and that all pedagogical decisions are the responsibility of the teaching staff. 2. CODE OF CONDUCT. Mutual respect is a basic principle which must be practiced to promote coexistence in the school, to which everyone is entitled to: pupils, teachers, parents, guardians and non-teaching staff. The code of conduct is clearly defined in the Real Decreto 732/1975 of the 5th of May, which sets out the rights and responsibilities of the pupils. As a general rule, any conflict must be dealt by the class teacher in the first instance, then by the tutor, the Head of Studies, and where all else fails, by the Head Teacher. Pupils and their parents or carer s, have the right to be informed of any incident or measure which directly affects them. 3. SCHOOL CALENDAR. The school calendar is published before the start of each academic year and it must be obligatorily fulfilled by all members of the school community. Failure to observe the correct dates for the start and finish of each term and also the beginning and end dates for school holidays, will be considered as unjustifiable absences and noted accordingly. 4. SCHOOL TIMETABLE: RECEPTION AND PRIMARY: The school day runs from 8.45 to SECONDARY: Classes begin at 8.45 and finish at except some days that they will finish at which will be indicated in the student s schedule. In order to guarantee safety and avoid disruption, parents and carer s of pupils are only allowed on site if they need to visit the school office or have arranged a meeting with one of the teachers. In all cases, they must sign in at the reception desk stating the motive for their visit and wear the Visitor ID badge provided at all times.

6 5. ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY. Attendance and punctuality are compulsory. In Secondary and Bachillerato the accumulation of absences can lead to the withdrawal of the right to continuous assessment. 6. RIGHT TO RE-ENROL. According to the current regulations, the group of teachers responsible for assessing a group, in Primary, Secondary and Bachillerato can decide to refuse the right to re-enrol on one or several of the following grounds: Repeated absences Bad behaviour Poor academic performance No payment of teaching fees, services and dining services 7. SCHOOL PROPERTY AND EQUIPMENT. School property, equipment and materials should be respected at all times. Failure to do so will result in the appropriate sanctions being applied. Moreover, the cost of repair for any damage caused will have to be paid by the culprits. 8. TEXT BOOKS AND OTHER NECESSARY MATERIALS. It is the responsibility of parents or carers to ensure that pupils attend class with the materials needed for the class activities. It is also their responsibility to ensure that they complete homework tasks set by their teachers. 9. HYGIENE. Personal cleanliness is important as is a healthy lifestyle, and it is the duty of parents and careers to ensure that they inculcate these values in their children. 10. PROTOCOL IN CASE OF LATENESS WHEN PICKING UP STUDENTS. In case of delay at pick-up time, the pupil will remain with the Deputy Head, or in his or her absence, with the member of the Management Team on duty that day, until 16:30. Between 15:25 to 16:30 the caretakers will try to contact the pupil s family. If by pm children have not been collected, the School will report this to the local police. If continuous delays occur, the School will report it to the Local Authority. 11. CANTEEN SERVICES: In compliance with the instructions for admission and registration issued by the Ministry of Education and published on the school website, students who enrol in this school must pay the fees for the dining service and for the monitoring of all the students. The payments for dinning and surveillance apply to both students who eat school lunch and students who bring packed lunch from home. If any of these fees were not paid, the parents will need to make arrangements for the child to be picked up at lunch time and returned back to school right after it finishes.

7 12. SCHOOL UNIFORM: The official school uniform is compulsory for Reception, Primary and Secondary pupils. By signing this protocol you agree to comply with this rule.
