Thank you for your continued support to the college, may God Almighty bless you. 1.0 Term II activities: The term has been so busy and we thank you for partnering with us. We had the candidates party, District & Inter-house Music, Dance and Drama competitions, a S.4/S.6 parents meeting, confirmation of students in the Anglican faith which was presided over by Bishop Emeritus Dr.George Sinabulya, among other activities. Students have had an extremely busy term, with a lot done on syllabus coverage and several exams. Please guide them well to enjoy a well deserved holiday. 2.0 End of Term II and Beginning of Term III: 2.1 Second term has ended today 03 rd /09/2016 at 07:00am, we shall officially open for term three on Sunday 18 th /09/2016. This is in a bid to compensate the lost time spent by students at home after the presidential elections. Student leaders will however be expected to report earlier to school i.e. on Thursday 15 th /09/16 in order to attend a leadership workshop scheduled to take place on Friday 16 th /09/16. Parents to student leaders please take note. We thank you for entrusting us with your children. 2.2 Report cards All students who cleared their fees dues have been issued with report cards. Students without report cards either have fees balance, lost library books or have discipline issues to be handled by the Administration. Please parents study your child s report and advise them accordingly. 2.3 Examinations Students of S.1, 2, 3 and 5 have sat for three sets of examinations. The end of term examinations which they sat last shall be a substitute for beginning of term. S.1, 2, 3 and 5 shall start serious academic work as soon as they report for term three; they will later sit for mid-term exams which will also contribute to their promotion to the next class. Parents are hereby encouraged to bring back their children to school on the stated reporting date. 3.0 Candidates 3.1 Candidates have sat for three sets of full mock exams i.e. Internal mocks, WAKISSHA mocks and Elite mocks. Internal mock results are reflected on their report cards. The other district mock results will be issued on prayer day and visitation Sunday. Any candidate without marks must have dodged exams or were home for fees. 3.2: S.4 students will fill A5 forms next term for their A level choice of schools. Please encourage them to give St. Mark, the high Achiever s college first priority for quality education. 3.3: S.6 students will fill the JAB and PUJAB forms next term for public university choices. This will require all students to have submitted in photocopies of their birth certificates to the academic office. We are delighted to inform you about some of our students who were admitted in Public universities for the Academic year intake 2016/2017 on government sponsorship. 20 students were admitted on merit, 02 students on quota system and 03 students were given on diploma level. ~ 1 ~

AMUTUHAIRE WINNIE Clinical Medicine Fort Portal Many other candidates were admitted on private sponsorship. 124 of our students were admitted to Makerere University, giving us the 19 th position national wide. 3.4 Candidates discipline: The general discipline of candidates is fairly good though some candidates were suspended for indiscipline. Dear parents please create some time to speak to your children on proper behavior and morals. 3.5 Candidates Prayer day: There will be a candidates prayer day scheduled on 09 th /10/2016. All parents are invited to this important and memorable day. 3.6 Seminars, and Study trips / tours: We thank all parents for facilitating their children for the above cause this term. Parents of students who are traveling this holiday to western Uganda are hereby asked to fill in and sign the acceptance form as a binding agreement between the school and the parent. Students will be traveling on 06 th September.2016 at 06:00am. Please contact Mdm.Namubiru Remmy for details on Students should come to school on Monday. 3 Compulsory geography field study for S.3 and S.5 on 28 th October. The fee is 35,000/= payable to Madam Namubiru Remmy. Areas of study include: Fiduga flower farm, Bendegere quarry, Entebbe meteological centre and Kasenyi fish landing site. S.3, 4, 5 and S.6 Agriculture students will have a Practical Study tour to Kabanyoro Agricultural Research Institute on 7 th /10/2016 at a fee of 30,000/=. Contact the Head of Department on Uniforms and Casual wear: All students with torn uniforms or tampered with school uniforms are requested to replace them with new ones. Please parents support your children in this area to ensure decency and smartness. All students are expected to posses at least two casual T-shirts of the college. Those with other types of red and green T-shirts should not bring them back next term. This is in a bid to ensure uniformity of all our students. 5.0 Students Mattresses: In our continued struggle to fight bedbugs in school, we kindly request you parents to allow your children to leave behind their mattresses for our routine fumigation during the holiday. 6.0 Parents meetings: We wish to involve you dear parents and guardians in the discipline, education and welfare of our children. In term III, we shall have a S.2 and S.3 Parents meeting on Sunday 2 nd /10/2016 in the school main hall at 10:00am. Please keep time as the issues to be discussed are very important. 7.0 Birthday Celebrations: Failure by many students to manage birthday celebrations in school has led to a management decision to abolish them. Parents please take note of this. Do not bring cakes to school for your children to celebrate birthdays. 8.0 Requirements: Students should report for term III with the following personal requirements: Class Requirements S.1,2,3 & 5 Box files, geometry sets, Calculators S.4 and S.6 Avail your children with all scholastic materials needed for UNEB exams All girls Petticoats, shavers, apron, alarm clocks, big belts & Roll-on not perfumes. All boys Shavers, alarm clocks & Roll-on not perfumes. All students School bags should be labeled at school at a fee of 5,000/= for those who may not have labeled them at home. 8.1 Reams: Due to requests by many parents, coupled with increased duplication of papers, management has agreed that parents pay for reams in monetary terms i.e. 15,000/=. This amount shall be added to fees so that the school deals with genuine suppliers. 8.2 Library books: We appreciate all parents who responded positively and contributed towards the development of the school library. All parents who have not yet responded to the textbook effort should bring it at the beginning of next term. Please take this seriously as teachers will strictly ask for the books on arrival. Parents are reminded to bank school fees and pay in time to avoid interrupting their children in exams. At the start of term three, no student will be received in school with an outstanding fees balance. All candidates must have cleared all their dues to zero balance. This will enable us to prepare effectively for UNEB exams that shall start soon on 14 th /October/2016.
