We will be splitting teams up by boys & girls if there are enough participants. Rec Basketball June 25 - August 1 SV Gymnasium Boys/Girls grades 3-8 1:00-2:00 pm M & W For students interested in learning basic basketball techniques. Rec Volleyball June 26 - August 2 SV Gymnasium Boys/Girls grades 4-8 1:00-2:00 pm Tu & Th For students interested in learning basic volleyball techniques. Lacrosse Cost : $25.00 July & Meet between ball fields Boys/Girls entering grades 4-7 (Min. 15 Max. 20 kids) 11:45 am - 12:45 pm For students interested in learning the basics of Lacrosse. LIMIT: 15 CHILDREN per day Individual Music Lessons Piano Camp Cost: $40.00 July :00-2:30 pm Boys/Girls grades K-5 For kids interested in learning basic beginning piano skills, no prior knowledge necessary. Meet in Volga Community Center Parking Lot Theater Camp July 9-13 & :00 - Noon Boys/Girls grades 4-8 Cost: $60.00 For students interested in musical theater. This camp includes singing, choreography, improvisation, props/costumes, speech projection, and vocal techniques. (We will work around park and rec commitments so don t let scheduling conflicts stop you from signing up!) The camp will end in a final concert production on Thurs. July 7:00 pm. Brookings County Sergeant Jon Pike will present a video and review safety rules. Variety Sports Cost: $20.00 July 9-13 Coach Dan Overbo 8:30-9:30 am Boys/Girls grades 3-7 (Min Max. 20 kids) For kids interested in learning more about the sports of Speedminton, Bocce Ball, Pickle Ball, Spike Ball & Cornhole. Meet at the Auditorium.
5 SIGN-UP INFORMATION Registration for recreation activities will be held at the Sioux Valley School Commons Area on Wednesday, March 21st from 2:45-7:15 pm. Full payment for all programs and camps is due at time of registration. We are only able to accept cash & checks during the above date. There will be no early registration. Once this sign-up date has passed you can then register at City Hall during business hours. Participants not registered by Friday, April 13, 2018 will be assessed a $20.00 per program late fee and are subject to limited program space and shirt availability. NO REFUNDS will be given after May 31, GENERAL INFORMATION The City of Volga does not discriminate on the basis of special needs in the admission or access to, treatment or employment in its programs or activities. The Volga Parks & Recreation Department will attempt to make alternative accommodations to persons with special needs. Please advise of any special needs at registration. In case of inclement weather during Volga Rec & Pool activities, a message will be posted on the Volga Park & Rec and City Facebook pages, as well as text/ alerts sent out (if you ve enrolled in them).
