We are a school which believes in the value of every child and adult who enters our doors. As such we want all those who become part of our school community, whether a child or an adult, to feel valued, happy, respected and to recognise their role in continuing to make our school Outstanding. We believe that all children who become pupils at our school deserve the best and our aim is to help them succeed by reaching their potential in every area of school life academic, social, personal, physical and spiritual. We do this by ensuring that each child has a clearly personalised curriculum where they understand their educational journey where it is beginning, where it will take them and how they will get there! Within our school we work very hard to create a team of teachers, non-teaching and supporting staff that will support each child in reaching their potential. Many who visit us comment on the strength of our staff team and their shared commitment to help every child in the school achieve their best. We value the broad and balanced curriculum which our staff offers and all children are able to access not only academic, but creative and physical areas of the National Curriculum fully, so that they receive the highest standard of education. 3 MISSION STATEMENT Our school aims to consider the uniqueness and individual needs of its pupils by delivering a broad, balanced differentiated and relevant curriculum. Each child is considered as a whole person developing skills, concepts and attitudes necessary for the opportunities and experiences of the future. We aim to prepare children to reach their full potential as responsible citizens. Our school aspires to value everyone associated with it, irrespective of age, position, race, gender, background or ability. We endeavour to motivate, support and inspire personal, spiritual, emotional and educational growth in a safe and secure environment. We aim to unite, parents, pupils, staff and the local community, through agreed school policies, which aim to deliver a quality educational service. This partnership has helped us to develop together the following aims for all our pupils: Curriculum Aims The curriculum will encourage all pupils to understand, be interested in and show respect to others, whilst also developing their own self esteem. The curriculum will enable pupils to become literate and numerate, having confidence when communicating, working with and responding to others. The curriculum will enable pupils to develop analytical problem solving skills. The curriculum will develop independence in our pupils enabling them to make healthy, safe life choices for themselves and others. 4 Enfant India International School is a community school. It was built in and still developing to fulfil the need of students as required. The building offers classroom facilities, library, I.T room, Audio-Video room ( Virtual classroom ), group rooms and resource areas, kitchen and a modern sports facility such as Cricket, Hockey, Football, Basket Ball, Tennis etc. The school enjoys an open aspect, good playing fields, play grounds, lawns and gardens. Audio-Video Room IT Room Annual Sports ( Athletic Meet ) Open Playing Area for Kindergarten The School Day Children ( Grade I to VII ) are requested to arrive at school not earlier than 8:30 am. At 8:50 am the school bell rings and pupils line up on the yard for morning prayer from where they will be collected by their class teachers. In the event of unfavourable weather pupils will be permitted till 9:15 am and go to their classrooms. For Kindergarten students arrive at school not earlier than 10:00 AM. The timing of the school may change in winter.

5 Attendance & School holiday dates Please ensure that children arrive promptly each day. The school day begins at 9.00 am and registration ends by 9.10 a.m. If a child arrives after this time they will be marked as late. If your child is absent from school then please inform us as soon as possible. Schools must differentiate between authorised absences e.g. due to illness, medical appointments or other circumstances and unauthorised absences e.g. unknown reason or absence without agreement with the school. The Head teacher undertakes regular monitoring of attendance and will contact parents of pupils whose attendance level gives him cause for concern. We permit parents only to take pupils out of school for holidays in exceptional circumstances e.g. religious holidays and when annual leave is prescribed by a parent s employer. If it does become necessary to take your child out of school for a period of holiday then you should apply in writing for permission from the Head-teacher. Medical Information Parents are requested to inform the school about any medical conditions, dietary requirements etc, as they arise and at least annually on the Individual Pupil Information/Personal Detail form. If a child becomes ill, sick or uneasy during the school time, parents will be informed as soon as possible. In the case of an accident then one of our staff / doctor will treat the injury and parents will be informed about the treatment which was given. In circumstances where the first-aider feels further medical assistance is required then parents will be contacted and asked to collect their child, so they can decide on the course of action to take or take the child to their. In extreme emergencies the school may contact the emergency services and if the child needs to go to hospital a designated member of staff will accompany them until a parent arrives. Pills and medicines should not be brought to school unless they have been prescribed by a doctor. In these cases special arrangements to give the child these medicines during the school day can be made on receipt of a doctor s letter and checking that the medicine bears the child s name and is in date. Working Together at Enfant India International School The school encourages open communication between home and school and issues regular newsletters to parents, via their children, detailing events and particulars concerning school. These events are also communicated on the school website. May we take this opportunity to thank the people of Ambedkar Nagar for the faithful support, interest and encouragement given to the school. We aim to build on the links already established in our community, and, with your help, make our school a place of which we can all be justifiably proud.

6 Friends of the School (PTA) We have a very active parent and teacher association (The Friends of the School) who organise many fun events for all of the pupils in the school. The Friends of the School meet termly to discuss future events and would value any additional support which you may be able to give. Please contact Mr Khan Ekhlaque Ahmed (President) for further information about forthcoming events and to offer your support. School Council (Houses) The school groups students in four groups namely Red, Green, Blue and Yellow House. Each group is recognised by the strip on the tie. Each group has a captain and vice captain. One head Boy and Girl are also elected to represent the students. CURRICULUM (CBSE) We provide a broad, balanced, differentiated and relevant curriculum which is accessible to all our pupils. We believe that school is an important influence on a child's development and our curriculum promotes the academic, physical, cultural, moral, spiritual, and social welfare of each individual pupil. It seeks to develop the potential of every child in order to prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life and provide a sound basis for future education. Subjects The school has regular read session which develops the skill of reading among the students and based on the reading habit and pronunciation grade are giving and record in a log book which helps teacher to guide them properly. The list of books and detail yearly plan for the curriculum is available on our website English, Mathematics, Hindi, General Knowledge, Environment Studies, Science, Social Science Value Education, Information Technology, Drawing, Craft, Urdu & Sanskrit. Computers and other technological aids are also used throughout the school. IT skills are taught as a discrete subject and as a means of supporting other areas of the curriculum

8 EDINBURG The Hostel ( BOARDING ) In the lush green lawns of Enfant India International School is yet another comfort zone for the students where they feel at home. This is the boarding home (EDINBURG) which incorporates girls and boys from ages 6-18 years. The students at the EDINBURG boarding not only learn academics but absorb the life skills under the able guidance of their respective House Masters / Mistresses. The Indian ethos, values and culture paramount the atmosphere in the boarding encompasses the overall development of the students. They feel like they are in their foster family and learn the values of everlasting friendships. While learning to be independent and confident they also bloom into flowers with self-respect, self reliance and positive self esteem. Care is taken in the Boarding to allow them to grow and develop as they would have at their homes only within a certain framework of discipline, conduct and behaviour. Giving, sharing, helping & caring are a few by productive morals that the students pick up in the boarding as they pass through. A student who embarks on a journey through the EDINBURG Boarding at a young age is sure to be a proud Enfantian who will mark a niche for himself / herself in days to come. Students at EDINBURG have always felt very comfortable as the boarding encourages their potentials and talents to be exploited and rewarded. A home away from home is what EDINBURG Boarding stands by and gives the parents a reassurance that their wards are in the safe and strong yet loving and caring hands.
