9 Blue Coat 2017 Sixth Form Results 50% A*-B at A level across 28 subjects (top of Coventry when compared to number of entries) 82% A*-C grades 99% A*-E grades 73% A*-B BTEC level 3 100% pass rate at BTEC level 3 100% pass rate EPQ Students accepted to the Russell Group of universities including Engineering at Imperial, Architecture at Edinburgh, Medicine at Exeter and English at Oxford

12 Target setting The Department for Education release annually a table which states for every KS2 level (in year 6) what the average outcome was for these pupils across the UK in Year 11. Split into 4 areas where they know pupils perform differently, so A target will be set for English GCSE A target set for Mathematics GCSE A target for Ebacc subject Sciences, History, Geog, French, German GCSEs A target for other open subjects

13 Target setting and Attainment Checks Your child will be set GCSE grade targets for the end the Year 11. We have 4 years left on the journey to get there... and with only exams at the end in most cases, every year is vital! Teachers will be setting a guideline target for the end of this year, prior to them starting the GCSE course material. Students progress is monitored by the subject teachers and the form tutors. The targets are slightly aspirational, but indicate the minimum that a student should be aiming for here at Blue Coat.
