2 ST. JOSEPH S INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, KUCHING St. Joseph s International School is a Catholic School managed by the Board of Directors, St. Joseph s Private School Management Berhad (Company No X). It was granted a license (Ref.: KP.BPS.SPIPS700-2/9/190(7) dated 28 November 2014 by the Ministry of Education, Kuala Lumpur to start in January The school will be located at the former SK St. Teresa, Padungan, Kuching. In 2017, St. Joseph s International School will open its doors to Year 7 (equivalent to Form 1). Classes are expected to be small as the license does not allow us to exceed 25 students per class. The fees will therefore be higher than St. Joseph s Private School. The school will be managed by a religious congregation and they will be ably assisted by a team of trained, experienced and dedicated teachers. St. Joseph s International School will offer the Cambridge syllabus leading to the Cambridge O and A levels examinations. The books to be used will be sourced from the United Kingdom. All subjects will be taught using English as the medium of instruction. Malaysian citizens are required to study Bahasa Melayu, Pendidikan Islam or Pendidikan Moral, and Sejarah Malaysia. St. Joseph s is a single session and co-ed school with lessons from 7.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., followed by extra-curricular activities. Development of soft skills such as the creative arts music, drama and dance, and the nurturing of interpersonal skills and leadership qualities are all provided in a holistic education. JOSEPH'S PRIVATE SCHOOL MANAGEMENT BERHAD A student who has not paid his/her fees plus late payment interest two weeks after the payment due date will not be allowed to attend classes until the said amount is fully settled Students who have been offered confirmed places must pay one term's school fee, which will be forfeited should the child withdraw Parents wishing to withdraw a student from School must give one (1) month's notice in writing of the intended withdrawal. Otherwise, an additional full term's fee will be charged Subject to paragraph 6.6 above, a student who leaves School before mid-term shall be eligible for the refund of half a term's fee. A student who leaves after mid-term shall not be eligible for refund of any portion of the school fee for that term The School Board reserves the right to change and amend the fees payable as and when necessary.
