1 Chaucer Junior School PE and Sports Premium Accountability Participation rates in such activities as games, dance, gymnastics, swimming and athletics Curriculum Schools own data/register s including extracurricular Breadth of study across the school Planning (new SoW being developed) NEW Assessment data Review and improve the quality of our PE curriculum, including: Breadth and balance across the school Time available on timetable Quality of teaching and learning (Planning and observation) Staff CPD, in school and voluntary provision Resources Pupil voice (sports ambassadors) Teachers note each week those not taking part (track non-participation) Employing specialist teacher of Physical Education. Paying specialist teacher to create new scheme of work in line with new N.C. and develop effective assessment system including baselines in Y3 INSET time allocated to introducing new SoW, based on new N.C. 2 Chaucer Junior School PE and Sports Premium Accountability Extra-Curricular Provision After school registers Pupil Voice data PE Provision tracker for clubs and competitions Review the quality of our extra-curricular provision including: Range of activities offered Ensure the enhancement and extension of our curriculum provision Inclusion The promotion of active, healthy lifestyles Quality and qualifications of staff providing the activity The time of day when activities are offered Pupil needs/interests (Pupil Voice) Partnerships and links with clubs and local schools Talent provision Staff CPD Buying into gold package with SSP which provides extracurricular clubs run by specialists and multiple opportunities for staff CPD in and out of school Purchasing new resources to improve provision of clubs already provided and allow new clubs to be run with proper equipment (e.g. Handball) Nicky Godridge runs clubs and provides advice and support for other staff New resources A number of extra-curricular activities provided across all year groups and in a wide range of activities that equal or surpass the number provided last year. Continuing CPD in PE encourages wider range of staff to provide an extracurricular activity. Increased pupil participation in extra-curricular activities.

N.Godridge Resources Supply costs 3x mornings plus staff attendance at competitions Number of competitions/festivals entered is equal to or surpasses that of last year. New PE curriculum to utilise sports that are similar to the competitions being entered throughout the year, e.g. do sports hall athletics activities in Y5/6 PE lessons the half term before the competition. Roll of honour on website to show up to date results from competitions for easy comparison to last year s success.

SSP package also offers various SEN events throughout the year. and N. Godridge offer in class support to up-skill staff in the effective and inclusive delivery of various PE lessons, along with INSET and twilight opportunities. N.
