WSMM Prayer List 2 SMM Student of the Year Nominees Regional Science Fair Winners Help Wanted: PTO Vacancy Listing SMM School Play Information This Week at SMM ************************************************************** TOOTHBRUSH COLLECTION FOR THE MISSIONS OF BELIZE The Mission/Service Club is supporting the missionary work of Dos Amigos, who have been going on a Christian medical mission to Belize since Dos Amigos need SMM s help collecting toothbrushes to aid those in need of dental attention in the Mayan villages. We will collect toothbrushes from Monday, February 13, through Wednesday, February 22. The class who collects the most toothbrushes will receive a free dress day.

For the February prayer intention of the Holy Father which is: That all those who are afflicted, especially the poor, refugees, and marginalized, may find welcome and comfort in our communities. For our neighbors who were hurt and/or loss their properties in the recent tornadoes.

3 SMM STUDENTS OF THE YEAR NOMINEES The following fifth grade students were chosen as nominees for SMM Student of the Year. Each year the Archdiocese of New Orleans selects a student of the year from 5th graders in Catholic schools around the Archdiocese. Our SMM Student of the Year, Madelyn Smith, was selected as one of the finalists. 4 RED OR PINK SHIRT DAY Students may wear a red or oink shirt with free dress bottoms on Tuesday, Valentine s Day, with a voluntary donation of any amount to the Soiree. BABY PETER GANUCHEAU Many of you have asked about Sheila Ganucheau s grandson, Peter. He has been released from the hospital and is now staying at the Ronal McDonald house as he recovers from his transplant surgery.
