3 DMS LMC SIZZLING SUMMER READING PROGRAM Our summer reading program is designed to help middle school students understand that reading is an enjoyable pastime, and that we read for pleasure as well as to acquire information. It is also no secret that reading skills improve with practice, so that it becomes an even more entertaining past time. Students are asked to read at least four books and record them in a reading log. To be eligible to win prizes and enter the grand prize raffle, students need to turn in their logs in September. More information about the middle school s summer reading program, including reading logs and a suggested reading list, can be found on the DMS LMC website under the tab Reading Program ( ) MUSIC NOTES DMS SUMMER MUSIC PROGRAM Dates: June 12-July 7 : Monday, Wednesday & Friday 8:30-9:30 Jazz : Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:40-10:30 Drumline and Colorguard Clinics: Tuesday & Thursday 8:30-9:30 (June 13, 15, 20 & 22) Parades: July 4 th in Mineral Point July 9 th in Dodgeville September 3 rd in Ridgeway Jazz Concert will be at 6:00 on Friday, July 7 th in the DMS cafeteria.
