2 The Parents Association is a DLSZ support organization, which gives assistance to the school without interfering with the policies on academic or disciplinary matters, promotes camaraderie among the parents and maintains a closer relation with the school authorities.

3 MEMBERSHIP: All Parents of DLSZ enrolled students are members of the DLSZ Parents Association. A family is considered one member. A member is entitled to one vote per child enrolled in DLSZ.

4 Membership is automatically void, if the student s name is removed from list of enrollees, for whatever reason, as per the records of the Registrar of the school. Membership automatically ceases upon graduation of the student.

5 Basic Duties & Responsibilities

6 Parent-members are enjoined to provide their children with sufficient support affecting community and school projects as part of the Association s gesture of goodwill. Parent-members are empowered to be alert and on the look-out for any untoward development considered inimical to the children s welfare in and outside the school premises and to make the necessary report to the appropriate committee and/or authorities.

7 Parent-members must pay the membership dues upon enrollment. The dues shall be on a per family basis.

8 Rights and Privileges of Membership

9 a. To vote on all matters brought before the members; b. To vote and be voted upon for any elective office of the Association. c. To hold elective office. d. To participate in the deliberations of the members and in all its meetings

10 e. To avail himself of all the facilities and services of the Association that may be identified for use by members. f. To examine all the records of books of the Association during business hours at the Associations office. Said examination must be scheduled in advance with a written request submitted to the Corporate Secretary

11 Duties of Members

12 a. To pay, annual and special assessments and such other fees which may be levied on him; b. To participate in major activities and other social affairs of the Association; c. To attend all meetings and seminars that may be called by the Association or its committees; d. To obey and comply with these By-Laws and such other rules and regulations as may be promulgated by the Board of Directors.

13 Officers

14 There are 14 levels from Pre-Kinder to Senior High School. Each level shall elect a level chairperson during the annual general assembly and elections (third Friday of July) who shall sit as a member of the Board of Directors. Aside from the level chairperson, each level shall have its own set of officers such as level vicechairperson, secretary and treasurer; as well as section representatives. Parent-members who are neither elected to office nor selected to any permanent working committee automatically become members of the work force of at least one major project of the Association.

16 Family Fun Day Bingo Extravaganza Outreach Programs Parent Library support to the Br. Rafael Donato Night High School (BRafeNHS) Sports programs through the DLSZ PA Sports Foundation Spiritual Formation Seminars on Parenting and a lot more family and school oriented programs are just some of the major projects of the PA.
