Approval of Previous Minutes A motion is requested to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held on June 24, 2015, July 20, 2015, and the minutes of the Committee of the whole held on August 12, Financial and Treasurer s Report A motion is requested to approve the Financial Report dated June 30, 2015 and the Treasurer s Report dated June 30, Purchase Order List A motion is requested to approve the Purchase Order List for the month of July and August in the amount of $8, Motion: Second: Vote: 7. Invoices and Checks A motion is requested to approve the checklist for the month of July and August in the amount of $636,

2 8. High School Financial Accounts A motion is requested to approve the following High School Financial Account reports dated July 31, A. Activities Account B. Athletic Fund C. Letterman s Club Substitute Bus Driver List It is the recommendation of the Administration for the Board to approve the substitute bus driver list. 10. Bus Driver Runs It is the recommendation of the Administration for the Board to approve the bus runs as presented Substitute Support Staff List & Kelly Services It is the recommendation of the Administration for the Board to approve the Substitute Support Staff List as presented and to subcontract with Kelly Services. 12. Elementary Handbook It is the recommendation of the Superintendent for the Board to approve the Union Memorial Elementary School Handbook as presented. 13. STEP Program A motion is requested for the Board to approve the continuance of the STEP Program for the school year with Ms. Samantha Laverty to coordinate the program and Mr. Michael Ross to select the candidates. The program is not to exceed $12,000.

Facility Request Middle School Student Council It is the recommendation of the Administration for the Board to approve the facility request made by the Middle School Student Council for the Middle/High School cafeteria and common areas; on November 11, 2015 from 9:00 AM 2:00 PM on for the purpose of a fall festival. All fees have been waived & 2010 Pennsylvania State Audit Corrective Action Plan It is the recommendation of the Superintendent for the Board to approve the resolution indicating the 2009 & 2010 Pennsylvania State Audit Corrective Action Plan as presented. 16. Resignation of 7 th Grade Girls Basketball Coach Anthony Thomas It is the recommendation of the Administration for the Board to approve the resignation of Mr. Anthony Thomas as the 7 th Grade Girls Basketball Coach effective August 19, th Grade Girls Basketball Coach Kevin Zona It is the recommendation of the Administration for the Board to approve Mr. Kevin Zona as 7 th Grade Girls Basketball Coach and paid a stipend of $2,325, effective August 19, All clearances are on file. 18. Assistant Varsity Football Coach John Johnston It is the recommendation of the Administration for the Board to approve Mr. John Johnston as Assistant Varsity Football Coach and paid a stipend of $3,450, effective August 19, Resignation of Girl s Assistant Volleyball Coach Stephanie Bennicase It is the recommendation of the Administration for the Board to approve the resignation of Ms. Stephanie Bennicase as the Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach effective August 19, Motion: Second: Vote: 20. Student Tuition to Mohawk A motion is requested for the Board to approve tuition for Ms. Stephanie Harshbarger to attend the Mohawk Area School District for the Vocational Agriculture Program effective August 19, 2015 until Graduation.

4 Student Teacher It is the recommendation of the Superintendent for the Board to approve the following student teachers: A. Mr. Joseph Jacob Slippery Rock University Placed with Mr. Canciello B. Mr. Camden Palmer Slippery Rock University Placed with Ms. Fulena C. Megan Losco Slippery Rock University Placed with Cindey Eckert & Anissa Cioni 22. Resignation of Bus Driver DiPerna It is the recommendation of the Superintendent for the Board to approve the resignation of Mr. Raymond DiPerna as Bus Driver effective August 19, Transfer Tax Refund A motion is requested for the Board to approve the refund of the real estate transfer tax in the amount of $1,250 payable to Mr. Brad A. Thomas and Maria L. Thomas of 3022 W. State Street. 24. ACA Compliance Agreement Reschini Agency, Inc. It is the recommendation of the Administration for the Board to approve the attached contract made between the Union Area School District and Reschini Agency, Inc. for the purpose of ACA compliance, effective August 19, Athletic Field Maintenance Agreement A motion is requested to approve the new Athletic Field Maintenance Agreement with Pelto Property Maintenance as presented. 26. Board Policy #217 Graduation Requirements It is the recommendation of the Superintendent for the Board to approve Board Policy #217 Graduation Requirements as presented.

5 27. Cement Bid Awards It is the recommendation of the Administration for the Board to award the cement repair proposal in the amount of $ and due on August 17, 2015 by 3:00 PM. New Business 28. Adjourn A motion is requested to adjourn the Regular Meeting of the Union Area School Board.
