2 EVENTS ORGANIZED: District level Tech fest was organized on 4/01/2018 in association with ISTE-student chapter. A Guest lecture on COMMUNICATION AND PRESENTATION SKILLLS was organized on 24/01/2018 in association with SRIT. The resource person was Mrs.B.Waheeda Praveen, Assistant professor, Dept of humanities and sciences, SRIT. A Guest lecture on INDIAN POWER SECTOR CHALLENGES AHEAD was organized on 27/01/2018, in association with IE(1)-student chapter. 3 Interaction session with alumni was conducted on 09/02/2018, in association with SRIT. Awareness program was conducted on GATE EXAM by TIME institute faculty on 15/02/2018, in association with IE (1)-student chapter. The resource person was T.I.M.E institute faculty. A three day workshop was conducted on PLC FUNDAMENTALS (phase-1) on 27/03/2018 to 29/03/2018, in association with IE (1)-student chapter. 4 Awareness program on GATE EXAM AND PREPARATION was conducted on 04/04/2018, in association with SRIT. Resource person was Director, Gate Engg. Academy. PROJECT EXPO was conducted for final year students on 18/04/2018, in association with IE (10- student chapter. The Resource person was Mr.Siva Shanker VP, students relations, IB hubs. INDUSTRIAL VISITS: An industrial visit was organized for 3rd Year students by the Department on 10 th February 2018 to 400kv APTRANSCO SUBSTATION. The plant in charge explained the layout of substation, and he gave a lot of information about transformers and protective devices. An industrial visit was organized for 2nd Year students by Department on 23 rd March 2018 to PABR DAM & POWER HOUSE.
